SOURCE: Husqvarna model 357XP chainsaw leaks oil all over

You need to find out where its coming from, drain the oil tank and re fill with some fuel, as this is much thinner it will leak out much faster and give you a better idea where its coming from, it may be just the pipe up pipe behind the pump has got hard and started to leak, the other possibility is the crankcase gasket, if this is leaking it is a full strip down to fit a new gasket.

Gary, not sure what oil you are talking about for sure, if it is chain/bar oil it is suppose to leak/lube chain while it is running.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

240e chainsaw leaking bar oil

It's quite common, if it's only leaking a little it's not really worth the trouble chasing the leak down. Your saw will have an online manual which may detail disassembly. Mine leaks a touch but not enough to bother me.

Husqvarna 235 is leaking bar oil really bad

Hi, What Kind of oil do You use? A thiker one could be a solution.
Usualy there a other screw (than those H and L of the carburator) to adjuste the amount of oil spend on your blade.

Turning up the bar oil?

An “OM, 455e Rancher, 455 Rancher, 460 Rancher, 2009-09, EN, FR, ES” Follows (may not be your saw):
http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/HOUS/HOUS2009/HOUS2009_1151382-49.pdf
An excerpt from page 38 of the above OM follows (forcing it may render it inoperative):
Adjustment of the oil pump
Adjustments are made by turning the screw using a screwdriver or combination spanner.
The machine is supplied from the factory with the screw set to position 2.
Turning the screw clockwise will reduce the oil flow and turning the screw anti-clockwise will increase the oil flow.
Recommended settings:
• Bar 13"-15": Position 1 (full CW)
• Bar 15"-18": Position 2 (center)
• Bar 18"-20": Position (full CCW)
These recommendations apply to Husqvarna’s chain oil, for other chain oils increase the oil flow by one step.
WARNING! The engine must be stopped when making adjustments.

All OMs and IPLs can be found here:

Chain oiler

Depends on the vintage, turn the saw upside down and you can see a screw to turn, 3 settings, right under the clutch and shaft. use a screw driver if it is adjustable. I like to keep mine set on high, oil is cheaper that new chains and bars. Use a bar oil, not old used motor oil.
