A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Are you plugging them into the back? If so, check the audio headers on your motherboard. They'll look something like this:
o o <--- Make sure there is a jumper here
o o <--- And make sure there is a jumper here

There should be something in your sound, video, and game controllers that says something like "Realtek High Definition Audio". Double click on that, and make sure that it is enabled. If this entry is completely missing, reboot, and enter the BIOS setup (I'm not sure how that works on your specific PC) and make sure that the onboard sound is enabled there.

Did the speakers come with the computer? If so they likely have the amplifier section built into the computer, ergo wil not work on a different brand/ model computer.

Thank you for your query
The sound issue could be down to several issues
Please try the following
1) Ensure that the speakers are plugged into the right port the port at the back of the Pc will be a light green colour and on closer inspection will have this symbol >))
2) If it is in the right port click on the following Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices. In here ensure that the volume is not muted
I believe 1 of these 2 should cure the problem
If this has been useful please leave positive feedback/vote/testimonial - Thank you again
