First thing we want to do is verify that your keyboard & mouse and plugged into the correct places and are powered up and able to work.
Turn your computer on and look at your keyboard and tell me if any lights are on to show that it has power and is operational.
Watch the keyboard lights until the computer gets to the login page and tell me if the lights come on and stay on? Or do the lights turn on for a moment and then turn off again?
If you do not see any lights, please clarify if there are NO LIGHTS on your style of keyboard or if there are lights but they are not lighting up.
If your keyboard has lights and they are not lighting up at all, then turn off the computer and unplug the mouse and keyboard and swap them around. Then turn the computer on again and tell me if the lights come on and the mouse and keyboard become operational.
Once we verify this we can continue to the next step of troubleshooting. Please report what you find and I will help you solve this.
Look for a KeyMapper program on your system. It sounds as if some keys have been remapped on your system. If that's the case, any keyboard will exhibit the same symptoms and, of course, they work fine on other systems with no remapped keys.
Find the program in the installation directory. It might be something like C:\Program Files\The Adventure Company\Microids\StillLife
Now right-click on Stilllife.exe, then click Properties. Click the Compatibility tab, then select Windows 98/ME from the drop down menu. Hit OK and try to run the game again. It should start up just fine.
IS there an option in the main menu to change the controls and set if you want to you a keyboard or controller or mouse. That might be the problem and it needs to be check on keyboard. Hope I could help

If your game came with a downloadble demo, and you downloaded it, go to the BattleStrike icon in your desktop, right-click on you mouse, go to properties (last option on the list). You will see something like "C:\Program Files\City Interactive\BattleStrike". Write down that address. Then go to "Start", "Control Panel", "Add or Remove Programs" and find the demo AND WW II BattleStrike. Remove both. Go to to the address you wrote down ("C:\Program Files\City Interactive\BattleStrike") and delete the whole folder (City Interactive in this case). Reload the game WITHOUT the demo. It should run fine this time around.
There are no games currently support mouse and keyboard. The only future release that has been announced so far that apparently does have it as an option is Unreal Tournament 3. I suspect that you won't see many games that support it though.
