Question about Dell Computers & Internet
I have a used emachine monster 550 that was working offline great then it said 'PCI controller card not installed' I pwoered doen took cover off and carefully pressed on the boards one was loose and it clicked in . I pwoered it up and nothing no system loaed. I put the operatind disk in, nothing again, I put the dell monster 550 restore disk in nothing, Can you help me get the system up and running again? I have a bootalbe cd for the emonster550 I also have a windoes xp oeating system disk but I di not have a windows 98 operatiung systenm disk. What can I do? thank you Huricanelor
Go into the BIOS (watch your POST screen as you turn the computer on for instructions if you don't know how to get in there, it will say something like "press F2 to enter setup") and set your computer to boot from your CD drive. Put your restore or XP disk in the CD drive and reboot.
