Question about HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-In-One Printer
My HP Officejet Pro L7680 is less than 2 years old and used infrequently. It will not pick up paper from the tray and indicates 'Out of Paper' repeatedly. After power off reboot, it displays 'Pick Motor Stalled' then back to 'Out of Paper'. I have worked with HP Tech Support and other than recycling power, have not suggestion on a 'User' cure other than to buy a new printer. I would like to fix this, any suggestions as to obtaining a service manual and possible parts (if needed)?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)

I put an elastic band around the black roller as it doesnt seem big enough and it works nearly every time now. Have done this with another L7780 Pro as well which fixed it completely on that one.

Check all this ---------
1.check the paper pickup roller may be its not functioning
2.check the paper pickup sensor(clean this)
3.check the paper pickup tray for proper work.
4.check the gear of paper pickup.

The pickup rollers are worn out. Replace them and your problem will be gone. While you are sourcing them, use some alcohol. This may give them a little more life.

You can lift the top of the unit to inspect the rollers. Be careful because the L series the roller can pop off easily and if you're not paying attention to original orientation, can be a pain to put back in.. you press the blueish button to release the pick up assembly. See if any rollers are dusty. If they are, use Isopropyl alcohol (highest % you can find) and a LINT FREE cloth (dryer sheets/coffee filters or something of that nature..) and wipe clean
Hope this helps, I'm honestly doing all this from memory, I used to work for that dept here in Oregon ..
