Acer tower is not working--earthnet does not light up-modem ok

acer monitor reads ACER and then no signal
nothing else appears on the monitor

- Yes, it was working in the morning and then was idle. All cables were checked and double checked
no recent modifications. All connections checked to ensure correct connection, Modem working fine (checked by local internet company), monitor shows logo and hen says no signal

Did it ever work? Did you check and replace any cables? What programs have you added or modified recently? Can't fix the problem without details.
