Question about Monoprice 8x6 inches graphic drawing tablet

Tablet pen cursor moves in the wrong direction

The pen is recognized very smoothly and easily by the tablet and writes fine, however the pen cursor moves in the wrong direction. If i move the pen left, the cursor moves right and vice versa. the tablet worked fine when it was first installed and the suddenly started this behavior. Ive tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, plugging it in and out, nothing works. Ive tried 3 different pens that work fine on my other monoprice tablet and they all move in reverse on this new tablet.

Wow been there my self on my gateway tab also. I found by trying this to be a issue with the FLICKS settings and needed to update the firmware and re calibrate the pen without flicks or other short cuts u might use. Also if u just bought this PEN locally u might contact the seller for assistance and if not able ask to exchange this one to test out if its on your side of the problem or just a issue with this model pen. I often do not try to do to much testing of hardware that might cause more questions and often more problems later. I recommend before u start trying out possible fixes that change the config of now a system that works with 3 pens and has in past what might u change could not help us determine if its your side config or if its a bad pen or is it a known issue and if it is we might beable to at least leave a trail of what we did incase we need to undo what changed.
Please if u could tell us the make of the pens that worked and the make and model of the one that don t... also u might see if anyone else u know could test this pen too on there tab for out ruling works or not.
Good luck ill follow ur posts

I have the same problem, im running an Intuos 2 on XP SP3 with serial port, it was passed down from a friend of mine. I tried several Drivers from the oldest 2005 to the newest 2010 on wacoms site. the oldest driver allows me to open the settings dialog, but doesnt recognize the drivers after a reboot. the newest recognizes the the drivers but won't open the settings dialog, and an error apears "this system does not have a supporting tablet". Througout the entire trial and error that got me no where the tablet light was always lit and changed color when i set the pen on it or triggered any of the buttons, but the cursor never moves.

Is it possible to remove features from a tablet?

I have the bamboo fun pen also. I am currently running Windows Vista 64bit home and have the same problem. I fixed mine by going into the control options > Tablet PC Settings > Other > Go to Pen and Input Devices > Settings (Under Pen Options) Then I clicked at the top Where it states "Enable press and hold for Right-clicking". I disabled that and my pen works with no holding for the right click. I can make scratch marks all day! Hope this helps you too.

Screen rotates, pen doesn't

Is it maybe possible it is a hardware prob? maybe the directional sensor in the tablet was displadced.

BTW i have the same tablet and need an harddrive replacement/upgrade, how did you manage to do that? what kind of drive and where to buy? Viewsonic seems not so eager to help me out with that.

Best,
