Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

The rule for this device is first reset (hold power on/off and volume + simultaneously and continuosly while the player is turned on; reset works when the power turns off), and then Repair if that fails. The problem with Repair is that it deletes every file from the GoGear. Here are better instructions for repair than the manufacturer's:
1) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips) - if you don't see it, then re-run the installation CD or grab the "Device/Firmware Manager" from the Philips website
2) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
3) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off (if you haven't done so already) - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new.

The SA3025 is not compatible with Macintosh. It will show up as "Internal" or some such, but you won't be able to load the songs into there properly. That is why the documentation says:
• Windows® 2000, XP, Vista

The SA5245BT bought in India, is a consumer electronics product. It has a warranty of 12 months.
When the player freezes, try to resolve this problem with the trouble shooting from the support page of the Indian site (in English) for the SA5245BT/97:
I assume you already tried a reset: gently press the small reset button with the narrow point of a paperclip for example.
When after the reset the player won't work as it should, you could go through the "Troubleshoot your player" link:
If the operation/keypad on the player keeps freezing, mostly during the power up, the only way to restore the player is to use the Device Manager Repair Wizard.
Troubleshoot your player
How can I repair my player using Device Manager
select your operating system XP, Vista or W7
and follow the steps
