SOURCE: Kenmore Micro/Oven fuse keeps blowing

Disconnect the connector to the primary winding of the high voltage transformer. Put a new fuse . If the fuse is not blowing the problem may be in the secondary side of the high voltage transformer. Chek the highvoltage diode, capacitor, magnetron respectively. you can also check the primary winding of the low voltage transformer.

Kenmore 721.80012401

Chances are the thermal fuse is gone that protects the magnetron. Unplug microwave, remove top, [several screws] look over to the keypad and slightly to the left, you should see round fuse mounted on the inner chassis at the top, change with the same size and rating, if all goes well the microwave oven should function.

Kenmore elite model #665.61683101, has no power, plug works but microwave has no display, is there a fuse in this model?

There is a line fuse for this oven. Remove the cabinet and the fuse should be close to the line cord. Replacement fuses should be found at your local appliance supply house.

Where is the fuse in my Kenmore Over the stove Microwave oven

The fuse is located under the keypad in towards the high voltage capacitor "silver rectangular in shape" before you take it apart "unplug and discharge capacitor" there are dangerous high voltages present, the fuse is a ceramic type and must be replaced with the identical size and rating. Now if the fuse blows again it is more than likely one of the door switches is defective.

Kenmore microwave 80404400 no power

This is typical of the 20 amp fuse blown. It can blow due to slamming the door or even opening the door to quickly while it is running. It could also blow if there is a failure of one of the door interlock switches. This fuse is ceramic and looks similar to a cylinder automotive fuse and is located behind the control panel on this model.

The oven blew a fuse and now doesn't power on. The electrical outlet is working.

thats a comon fult,,, megertron or capacitor shorts out the fuse blows and wont power up again with a new fuse fitted in the plug,,,,,
there is another fuse inside the microwave likely to be 2 of them and 1 very hight voltage fuse,,, (ei: 1000.s of volts) but there not the same size as 13 amm plug fuses, pluss if you are not to good with microwaves, please dont go inside of it,,, it could and probley will kill you,,be warned
play it safe go out and buy a new one,, think of it this way
how old is the unit now???? and there fairly cheep now from £50 up!!

Kenmore microwave model 665.61629100

Usually, when your microwave oven doesn't work it all, the internal fuse (thermal fuse) is blown. This fuse protects both you and the oven. When it blows, you need to have a qualified appliance repair technician replace it.

Door switch If the fuse isn't the problem, check the door hooks and the door-release button. When these are broken, the door switch doesn't activate, so the oven can't work.
