SOURCE: Electric Air compressor just hums then trips breaker.

usally there is a releaf valve that takes the pressure off the compressor while it is resting. If that pressure is not off when the drive piston starts the motor will overload and blow the the breaker or reset. Check for a releaf valve for when the unit has reached full pressure

SOURCE: Ingersoll-Rand DD2T2 air compressor

hi mate its either a fitting off the tank and it is just pumping air into the tank and out the hole or its the mpv valve this stops air in the tank bleeding back to the pump so when the pressure drops it can start other wise it wud not start as the piston is not possible to go up this is why when the compressor stops it bleeds off air in the system but to be honest i need more information to figure out what it could be e.g is it on pump unit or on tank etc

SOURCE: Ingersoll rand compressor oil leak (Model DD2T2, 4.5 Gal.)

The brass fitting that goes into my DD2T2 seems to have a hole in it and it looks impossible to remove without ruining a major gasket due to the close tolerance in replacing the fitting. Am I missing something?

SOURCE: Trips motor circuit breaker at start up (zero air

Most likely the start capacitor is defective or the motor has internal problems. would advise having it checked at a motor repair shop.

A motor like that will require a motor starter, you cannot use just a pressure switch cause it draws to many amp's

I have the Ingersoll Rand Model # DD2T2, WAS WORKING GREAT, NOW IT HAS STOPED WAS THROWING BREAKER IN SWITCH BOX NOW IT HAS STOPED ALL TOGETHER, MOTER CAN BE TURMED BY HAND BUT WILL NOT RUN AT ALL.

If the motor turns by hand, but the breaker is tripping does not preclude a bad motor. Could be nothing more than a capacitor on the motor itself. If the breaker you speak of is on the unit itself, could be bad. If it is in the electric panel, motor capacitor is the first place to look.

Air compressor fills up and shuts off corectley.

If it is a new unit, my guess is that it is still under warranty. If you go looking around too much you could void the warranty, and the truth of the matter is that it could be a defect. I would suggest contacting the store that you purchased it at.The may just give you a replacement.
