You've either gotten in wet, a small tear in one of the cables, or the speaker itself has gone bad.

I recommend, or

They can help with that and they have parts in stock.

You have to use the program "Moto Midman" or "Moto Midlets Manager" to upload a Java app to the phone. MPT wouldn't upload JAVA.

Screen is Black

Your best bet is probably to change the screen. They always say not to leave an LCD screen in direct sunlight; they can be permanently damaged by heat. There are a few options for retailers of replacement screens. They start at about $30. Once you have that, check out this guide. For respect of them, I won't just copy the content here, but the guide is otherwise pretty comprehensive. Be aware that you need a T4 Torx Screwdriver, if you don't have already. Those run under $5 online, if you do need. Not the shortest repair, but not the hardest, With a little work, you will save yourself from buying a new handset and extending your contract. If you doubt your own abilities in this one, almost all carriers carry the V3; take it to a local wireless store and ask them to repair it. It probably will be more expensive if they do it at all, but still cheaper than a replacement.
