Will not turn on; flashing red light

aI purchased this plasma 10 months ago. Several weeks after buying every time I tried to turn it on I would get the green light for a few seconds and then get a flashing red light with only a black screen. You could hear some clicking. The only way to reset it and turn it on was to unplug it. Sometimes I would have to unplug it several times before it would start. I called Magnavox and they said I would need to bring it in. About the time I was going to pull it off the wall it started working and I didn't have any more problems until this week. We had a bad storm and a lot of lightning that hit near. Now I am getting the starting problem again. If I unplug it, sometimes multiple times, it will start and work just fine. It never stops once it is started just have problems starting with the flashing red lights.
