First of all HOME THEATER DOES NOT use SOFTWARE. Can you please explain to me what you mean by lost functions or lost settings? Do you have a special type of Cable or Satellite Program that requires updates? I can not think of a reason for a Basic Home Theater System to need a Software Program. Please try to explain this to me in detail, so I can provide you with the SOLUTION. Thank you

What you need to do is called firmware upgrade.
You need first to download a disk image file (ISO type file)
Then you burn the ISO image on CD using a software like Nero.
Then you start the unit with image CD inside and the firmware will be automatically installed.
The ISO file can be downloaded from Targa website here, by entering your model number.
If you have problem in locating the firmware download, write them an Email to receive the right download.
ensure you download the right firmware for your model, downloading wrong firmware may damage the unit.
You can contact manufacturer here: go to form
Once you locate the firmware download iso file, and when download is complete, use a computer with CD burner to write the image TV.
If you do not have any ISO burning software you can download Free iso software by FreeISO
After that start the system with the CD inside. That will install firmware and fix the system.
