What is the order of spark plug cables to the distributor for mazda 323 2001

On the distributor cap on each HT Lead connection there is a number presenting the spark plug connection with the cap. if the distributor cap has only the number "1" and not on the other hole for the HT lead connection then you fit the spark plug one lead and following the clockwise rotation fit the other HT leads. 1 for first spark plug,2-for second spark plug etc. First spark plug is fro the front of timing belt side. Good Luck!

Need to know how to replace spark plugs and wires on a v6 mazda 2001

All you need is a deep socket that is the right size to fit your spark plugs and the new set of leads.

Spark plugs:
remove the spark plug end of the lead, use a screw driver and rag to place down the whole to mop up any oil that may be down there. remove your spark plug, place the new one in and replace the lead. simple as that really.

Leads:
These can be more difficult. As you pull the leads off the park plugs and distributor you will need to take note of which lead goes where and write it down. once all 6 are removed just simply reverse the process. A good rule of thumb is the length of the leadas to its location on the engine but dont take it for granted.

Switch replacement

There should only be 2 cables that attach to the switch. Basically the switch act as earth to ground when the engine is turned off. To see if it works right, make sure the switch is in the ON position, remove the spark plug and connect it to the HT lead, earth the spark plug on the top of the cylinder and pull the engine over. If the spark plug sparks then the switch is 50% working. Turn to the OFF position and retry. if there is no spark then the switch is functioning correctly.

I have done engine overhall for my mazda 6 2003.i want to know how set timing and the timing marks?

there are special tools pin to lock crank in correct position and cams have flat plate that goes across into both at rear of cams small section goes up from memory, the cam gears have no dowel pin/locating pin to camshaft you do bolts up last when all are locked in position and grenade pin (locking)pin in tensioner is removed and chain is tight then hold cams with shifter or spanner(wrench) on cam flats and do up cam gear to camshaft bolts on each cam.
hole in front cover just above crank pulley at 11O clock, blind blanking plug must be removed to put in chain tensioner pin, crank blanking plug on your left side when looking at crank pulley(side of block) remove and locking pin goes into there when at TDC no1. and cams should be in position to lock with plate as described above.may not be any timming marks on chains or gears due to the locking tools needed and relied on for correct position.
good luck if you feel confident.
some Mazda dealerships may lend tools if you ask nicely or know some one.

Replacing rear spark plugs

Hi,

Things You'll Need: Spark plug socket and wrench

Twist and pull the spark plug wire from the leftmost spark plug on the front of the engine. Grasp the spark plug wire by the "boot" or the end of the wire that cups the plug. Avoid pulling on the wire itself.

Place the spark plug socket on the spark plug. Turn the wrench counterclockwise to remove the spark plug. Unscrew the plug until it is fully removed from the engine.

Install the new spark plug by carefully placing it in the hole by hand. Turn the spark plug clockwise, but do so only gently by hand. Ensure that the spark plug screws in gently and naturally. Stop turning it at the first sign of major resistance. Check to make sure that you have not stripped the threads. Move on to the next step only when you're sure that you've positioned the plug at the correct angle and have it threaded most of the way in.

Position the spark plug socket over the spark plug and tighten it with the ratchet. Avoid tightening it too much. It will offer increased resistance for about half a turn as the metal washer on the plug is compressed. Once it is good and snug, stop there.

Replace the wire by handling the boot of the spark plug wire. Listen for a "click" that indicates correct installation.

Use this procedure for the remaining two plugs on the front and the three plugs on the back of the engine. Remove and replace one plug at a time, to ensure that you don't mix up the wires.

Best regards.

With spark goes up and down on mazda rx8

your plugs are marked with a L and T this means leeding and trailing. the leeding plug goes in the bottom hole and the trailing plug goes in the top. It will run very poorly if you install them the other way around. Also when you replace the plugs look at the ends of the plugs if there is any rust or corrosion on them you will need to replace the wire because they are worn out and will cause a miss fire and posibly damage a coil

Mazda 323 f not firng right

also try and pull the spark plug leads out the top of the rocker cover with the car running, only pull them out a little bit (be careful not to zap your self) and you should just be able to see if the spark is arking out the side of the rubber boot on the lead insted of the midal as it should.
if this is the case replace the leads, our if money is a factor by a roll of electrical tap and rap all the spark plug lead tubs in it (also a cheep way of doing the first test)
anouthere thing if when you pull the leads out they are coverd in oil that is the problem and the replace your rocker cover gasket
