Turn off tuner Vypyr Nano Peavey

Hello, I have a problem with my amp. Because off the chromatic tuner mode, no sound is comming out from the amp. When I start the amp, there is just an "A" appearing on the tuner screen, and that's it. So, I'd like to turn it off, but I have no idea how to turn it off!

SOURCE: Peavey TNT115 AMP cuts out

The problem is in amplifier section caused by change value resistor or leak capacitor or cold ,loose or crack solder joint parts this the common problem of over heating and shuts out the amplifier caused by abnormal distribution of current,try to check all the capacitor and resistor and replaced the defected parts ,so your receivers works normal again.

Hope it may help you;

SOURCE: My amp won't play sound without headphones plugged in

1st off ,check the wire to the speaker. If that's ok then your headphone jack is broken inside. Peavey and others use cheesy headphone jacks.

SOURCE: Peavey 2600 Low input = Complete Cutout

I'm not quite sure of how the two amps are interacting here, so I'd like to request that you describe the entire hookup. Sending a higher signal from the mixer should not be a problem, but something is wrong in the setup (I think). Please update this with a description of how you have the mixer and amps connected to the speakers. Thanks, Dan

SOURCE: older peavey pa amp i lose sound and have to crank

Could it be the volume control itself? Try spraying it with Servisol Video 40, (see image below) it might be just dust or worn track in the control.

SOURCE: Peavey keyboard amp--Hum takes over all operation

I realise this is a very old thread, but somebody may still be looking for a solution for this amp. There is a very common problem with the original 3-channel, 3 phone-jack version of this amp. ( and indeed, with a lot of amps that hold the main circuit board in place by using the front jacks and controls). over time, the connections to the input jacks fracture as the unit is moved around and subjected to different temperatures. You need to remove the head from the amp, disconnect the speaker wires and the reverb send-return cable, remove the main circuit board by unfastening all the front-panel jacks and controls and removing the 2 screws that hold the left side of the main board in place and the 2 screws that fasten the long aluminum heat-sink to the bottom of the chassis. Then you can pull the board free of the chassis ( if you are careful, you can do this without removing any more wires) ,and re-solder all the jack and pot connections along the front edge of the circuit board. This will last for a while, but does not permanently fix the problem. To fix it permanently, you should replace the 3 board-mounted input jacks with jacks that mount to the front chassis plate instead. They will have to be connected to the main board using shielded wire to keep noise out.

My vypyr tube 60 is making a whining noise on the higher gaine amps especially the 6505 and satriani settings.

You might need to send it off to Peavey and have them repair it. Something is wrong with the computer. Check your warranty.
