you need an optical cable going from the TV to the home cinema for an audio output, it worked for, had the same problem!!

Had a similar problem mate. I solved it by connecting the tv to the PT460 system with a scart lead. You then have to have the AV channel selected on the PT460 system to listen to the tv. You will always have to have the AV channel on the PT460 selected to listen to any sound transmitted through the tv - be it playstation/xbox or any other device that you may connect in the future with HDMI leads or otherwise.
