Panasonic genius 1100w inverter microwave stops after 23secs.

If it stops after 22 seconds, that means the controller has detected a problem, usually a problem with the inverter, controller, magnetron, or a bad connection from one or the other.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

My Panasonic NN-CS596S cuts out after nearly 40 secs on the microwave program, and then displays the H98 code. My contract with the Gas Board provides a call- out engineer, he has changed the Magnatron,...

It should be worth having it looked at. The magnetron is the most expensive part to replace, since it is new I would have it looked at it might just be a door or interlock switch(cheap fix). Here is a link for DIY's http://appliancehelponline.com/microwavetroublshootingvideo.html there are also videos on testing each component at http://appliancehelponline.com/microwave.html

Panasonic microwave oven

Microwave fuses are normally located either on a filter board near where the power cord comes in, behind the control panel between the door switches, or behind the control panel in a hodler, sometimes on the floor of the chassis.

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical safety information, info on door switch diagnosis and replacement, and disassembly information at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa.

At our site, we have a video showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

You can find an authorized Panasonic servicer here.

You can order Panasonic parts from Tritronics, but if you don't find what you're looking for there, try here.

Panasonic NN-CS596S Convection Combi Steam Oven

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

Let us know if the hard reset does not fix it.

If it stops at 16 seconds and is a sensor model, it probably has a defective humidity sensor.

If it stops after 22 seconds, that means the controller has detected a problem, usually a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.

If you do indeed have a problem, Since it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

I would recommend that you contact your nearest Panasonic-authorized servicer.

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or a misaligned door.

It may have been damaged in transit. A loose door may leak microwave energy.

I'd return it to the dealer since it's so new and under warranty.

Panasonic Panel Problems

Based on my 25+ years of experience, I would say the "8" key on the keypad is shorting, requiring a new membrane keypad.

Is it possible that some spray cleaner got into the controls?

I always recommend that users spray the cleaner on a soft cloth (not on the keypad itself) then wipe the control panel off.

Also, I always recommend non-ammonia cleaners since ammonia can crack and damage plastic.

Otherwise, the spray can get into the controls and lock it up or make it act odd.

If it does not dry out over time, it may need to be manually dried or blown out.

But of course, the keypad may be damaged or worn out, or control unit may be damaged.
