Most motherboards have built in sound cards now, just look at the back of the PC and there will be 3 or 6 sound jack sockets, the speakers go in the green one.

I dont have any sound, I got a message bottom right corner when I click on speaker icon "No Audio Output Device is installed" I think I need drivers for X-220 speakers, I can't find them...

You don't need a driver for the speakers, but a driver for the sound card installed inside your computer. If the computer came with that sound card then you can find the proper driver from the manyfacturer website -> Support section.

Sound drivers need to be reinstalled sometimes after iTunes updates or video game installs.

I do not have the software on my computer to install the speakers. where do i find it online?

No software is required for (any) speakers!
Just connect the speakers to the outlet and to the GREEN jack on the sound card...
If no sound is heard, make sure the sound card driver is properly installed and the sound is not muted.

Pelu.

The speaker are plugged in but the computer does not seem to recognize that they are. It also says there is no audio device and no drivers are installed

Means windows cannot find your sound card and has not installed drivers for it. Thus no sound.
Need to reinstall sound card drivers.
First check if hardware / device manager shows error state for sound card. ie yellow circle with exclamation mark. If so delete those drivers and restart to reinstall. If you're lucky it will install correctly next time. Otherwise you need to install drivers yourselves from m/b or sound card driver CD

Make sure the speakers are hooked up properly and also that the sound card drivers are installed, you can verify this by going into the device manager. The main speaker wire has to be hooked up to the output of the computer sound card.

If the sound card drivers are installed and the speakers are hooked up properly and your still not getting sound, try the speakers on another computer that you know has sound. If the speakers work then its a sound card driver issue on the original computer. If the speakers don't work on another computer then you know the speakers are bad.

Were can i install drivers for my speaker. i have just reformated and the speakers don't work

Speakers don't have drivers.
You need drivers for the audio/sound adapter in your computer that the speakers plug into.

If the speakers plug into an add-on card, open the case and note the make and model of the card. Go to the manufacturer's website, download and install the audio driver.

If the speakers plug into the motherboard (e.g. the plug is situated near the computer's USB, keyboard and mouse plugs) then you need to look up the system or motherboard at the manufacturer's website and get the driver from them.

I hope this helps.

I need Creative speaker driver and didn't want driver detective.

there are no drivers for speakers as they are strictly an out put device. if you need drivers to get sound out of your speakers. then you need the drivers for your sound card. to get those you can download them for free from the manufacturer of your pc website if you did not install a sound card yourself. if you installed a sound card yourself then you can get driver free from the manufacturer of your sound card. other than that your speakers should work.

hope this helped.
