I would probably check to see if the crystal on the transmitter is connected properly and the wire in the reciever is clean and all the way in. Also if you're really close to a very strong power source consider moving away a bit (but your system is a 4ghz system so that shouldnt be a problem)

sorry for taking so long but since your signal is 4ghz there might not be a crystal (which is usually located on the back of the transmitter and it usually looks like a small box with pins on the back) did you try to change your location?

If you did then i would recommend taking to a hobby shop (or an enthusiast) for an inspection you might have received the wrong transmitter.

I have tried a bit more now and it seems that the batterie is the problem. If I use the video I just have like 1, 2, 3 minutes to use it before it is empty or not strong enough. Without video there is maybe 5 minutes or a litte more. But definitely under 10 min. I thought it would last longer. Is this a usual time for such machines? It is my first remote device...

i dont have any experience with the new "screen in transmitter" setup but i reckon it does drain the transmitters battery.

but normally a "new" copter battery lasts 10-15 minutes maybe you need a new/bigger battery

  • Georg
    Georg Dec 29, 2013

Ah. Ok. Then it is maybe really just the capacity of the batterie. If you say a normal new one just lasts 10-15, then this sounds like my times here are real possible and maybe I just look for a second or a bigger batterie. Or both... :-)

Found a good answer here (different model but same controller): http://amzn.to/1HTf2KZ

"Push the left control knob up and down real quick to set the level of the copter. This connects it."

Just worked for me on our new U817a

Losing battery power very quick, and remote getting very hot

Have you tried replacing the batteries? If you and this still happens you most likely have a default / malfunction in your remote control, Contact the place you bought it from (If in warranty) and get them to replace the remote or you can get a replacement on-line (eBay). You could go to the manufacturer and tell them the problem, they may replace it for you.

What is the function of the battery, is it just backup for loss of power?

The battery in the remote control is the power source. The remote control is essentially an LED flashlight that turns on and off very rapidly to send coded signals to the controlled device. The light is infrared "colored", which is not visible to humans.

Like any flashlight, it fades out when the battery gets weak. Also, at some point the encoder chip quits working because there is not enough voltage for the transistors inside it to operate correctly.

Some remote controls (programmable models) store setup information in memory. These either use an internal rechargeable battery or capacitor to retain the data for a short time while the battery is changed, or they use an EEPROM for more permanent storage. The EEPROM models would be more expensive, but they won't lose their programming data if the battery is run down too far.

2005 Harley Sportster 1200 The issue is that almost every time I try to (eletric) start it all of the electrical goes out. I push on the positive battery cable and the lights come on and then when I try...

The problem is more than likely INSIDE the battery. It sounds like you've got a bad connection to a cell right at the positive terminal of your battery.

A twelve volt battery is actually made out of six two-volt cells. If you look at a twelve volt battery, count the number of the "filler caps" on the top of the battery. There are six. The same thing appies to a six volt battery. Three two-volt cells, three filler caps. These two-volt cells are connected in series inside the battery to make a six or twelve volt battery. If one of these connections goes bad, the battery quits working. In this case, it's a open circuit. A battery can also "short circuit" on the inside causing it to lose one or more "cells" and dropping in voltage.

In short, take your battery out of the bike and take it to an automotive parts store. Ask them to load test the battery for you. This should tell the story. Battery life in Sporters and Softail model Harleys are often very short, two years. The reason, vibration and heat. If your battery is over two years old, you are probably due for a new one.

Good Luck

Had my LG Vu CU920 phone about 18 months now, in past couple of weeks is started acting strange, could only talk about 1 to 2 min. and would get Battery Low signal, then lose connection. Same issue when...

Some of the 920's have had this issue and need to be exchanged out through the service provider. Most of the time they will swap out for free even over the 12 mo warranty for a technical issue like this. Prob have to speak with a manager.

CT-90157 Remote Control: change batteries does not turn on tv...

Hi there,

It is possible that you will need to re-program your remote control, it sounds as though the remote has lost it's settings. This can happen when changing batteries, usually a remote will retain the code for around ten minutes or so once the batteries have gone flat or have been removed, after that time it loses it's code. I assume the batteries are new so try re-programing the remote control for your tv with the correct code and hopefully this will work.

Hope this helps,

James

Will not turn tv on and work the volume

Your batteries are low or the metal connections where the batteries touch need to be cleaned.  Also, sometimes these remotes lose their input code.  So put in the input code for your TV again after putting in new batteries.  If you have dropped this thing a lot or it has been water damaged it won't work for you.

Get yellow band saying that there is no power. Do I need a new battery?

If you've tried charging it, and resetting the unit, then yes, its time for a replacement battery - which luckily isn't too expensive.

Here's some links for replacements...

Hope this helps! Good luck!

It appears that the Bios can't remember the settings and loads default settings each time it starts. Please replace the battery (usually CR2032 battery) on your motherboard with a fresh battery of same type and then start your machine.
