This guide's pretty easy enough to follow and had about as close to a schematic drawing as I could find to install the dishwasher.

Hi I have given you a link, so that you can download a service and repair manual.
Below is an exploded diagram of your parts....

These dispensers can indeed be a real pain to get working..you indeed seem to have done all that you should, so well done. Yes there is difficulty putting the inner door draw bar over the wax motor coupler, however it should go on pretty easy, are you sure you have the right parts number?
Now below are some DIY website to assist you.

Top draw beeping delay and water not draining

Not sure what you mean by beeping "delay" I am not sure if there is any such light on the dishwasher. The HRS DELAY is displayed on the LCD when dishwasher has been set in delayed start mode. Are you seeing this flashing in an orange background? There could be several reasons for water not draining. Does the beeping go away if you press the power on/off button? Also does the delay flashing stop. Have you checked to see nothing is blocking the drain pump which is the same rotor that drives the washer arms.. What about the kitchen down pipe - is it clear? If you think you have to take the drawers out to reach the drain hose then follow instructions on page 7 step 2 of the installation manual. It is for a later model but your one should be similar. Make sure you turn the mains power off when working inside the dishwasher.

Hobart am 14 constant power on rps 1+2, rinse conection has power even when machine is in wash cycle

DPS1 and 2 are fed from L1 and L2 directly.
RPS1 and 2 get their signal from a relay, triggered during fill or rinse. Check inside the control box for the machine schematic and component location. Check that the relay only powers during fill and rinse. Check for welded relay contacts.
Note. Soap and rinse dispenses are often spliced into AM14's in unusual ways, and with unprotected pump circuits. (no fuses) These can be too much current draw for the contact rating of the relay.

Check continuity of the heating element to see if it is broken/open.
The dishwasher prefers that the incoming water (water heater) be 120 degrees (F)

RE : The stray arm of my dishwasher won't move

In some machines the schematics are glued under the machine upper cover. I don't know for what purpose you are looking for the drawing, but in case you have a problem and you need for any assistance, let me know and I will try my best to help you with it.
