actually rockit no.. there is no error code. The screen goes blue with a full explanation of what is going on. However the screen only last for maybe less than a second. If I could freeze the screen I would know more about the error.. The one thing I do see before the whole thing closes up is something about dump files. That is about all I can tell you at this point. Jeez don't ya just hate senior citizens hahaa thankx for your time. Semper Fi

Well as soon as we can figure out the error,We can start fixing it,So,First do you have any usb devices(other than a mouse or key board), any memory cards,or even a disk in the cd/dvd drive? if so,Remove them and try to start in safe mode by tapping the F8 key while the computer is being started,If you get a boot option menu,Choose safe mode with networking and let see if we can find the error log.To do this,Click start>Control panel>Administrative tool>Event viewer,On the right screen, select the arrow beside Windows logs and it will open a menu,On that menu select,Application,When the list finishes loading,Go to the right hand side menu and choose save events as,Give it the file name Events and click the browse folders button at the bottom and select desktop as the save to location, then click save,When the pop up about language shows up,Check to show English, click ok.
Go back into the events viewer and do the same as above with the system under the same windows log as before and save to the desktop as before and give it the name Events2 .

Then email both to Rockitman187@yahoo.com and I will see what we can figure out.

I'm doing a system restore in Vista home premium and every time i choose a restore point and start the restore it'll go for bout 2-5 minutes then suddenly it'll go to a blue screen VERY fast and says...

Instead of rebooting to safe mode select the option for "Last known working configuration"

Once windows boots to this, presumably working setting, attempt to restore to your desired point again.

If that fails yet again you may opt to restore to a point further back in time if this is a possibility.

If these do not solve the issue please feel free to clarify the problem, why these solutions did not resolve your issue and we will be happy to assist you further.

Yes, I just had the same problem. All you need to do is go to safe mode on your computer, search for the file "QSFSltr.sys" and delete that filthy *******.
From there you have too choices. 1: use your warranty to get the money back for the **** you bought, with no ability to get support from the company.2: Use it, and don't download any of iomegas software in the future. (can still be used as plug-and-play)

Blue screen on start up tech information stop:0x000000024

try safe mode, if you can get into safe mode try sys restore if still same hold the Fn key down while sys is off and then press the power button like turning the computer on to run diagnostics - if sys fails with an error code like 0142, 0143 or 0146 its hard drive failure. you have to replace the drive but if it passes the test you have to reinstall windows.

Blue screens are software related errors. You would need to try to start the PC in protected mode and remove the drivers from the registry and/or the startup. If possible, run the system restore and put it back to a prior date before you tried installing the drivers. It's possible you may have a card that will not work with your system.

Acer AL1716 monitor

First of all check your monitor's color configurations using the buttons in the monitor. Then, if colors are set to default, go to your GPU's control panel, usually found by right clicking your desktop and finding an option that says ie. Nvidia control panel. Go to video control settings and/or desktop color settings and either restore defaults or configure them yourself if you know what you are doing. Hope that helps.

Be.tmp.exe application error. the instruction at "0x0040c173" referenced memory at "0x0040c173". the memory could not be read

This should all be done in safe mode and with system restore turned off for now.

This is a virus and You need to run your antivirus scan and remove what it finds,Run a cleaner program such as Ccleaner

Hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete and open the task manager,Under the process tab find and end task on tmp.exe and/or BE.tmp.exe.

Blue screens are generally operating system failure. You will need to reinstall your XP home. Format the drive NTFS, instead of FAT32. If you have any problems during or after the reload, then the hard drive is the failure and will need replaced.
