Somewhere in your menu there is a setting in your menu called "memory". Somewhere there it should give you the option to copy you photos to your card. You should also be able to set your card to be your main storage area. Make sure that you copy them before deleting or formatting the camera. Do not format until you know your pictures are safe on your pc! All of this should be either in an instruction manual or on a disc supplied with the camera-it is normally on the disc and can be viewed on your pc.

Ge X550 will not switch to memory card when it is installed, stays on internal memory

Hi, a few possibilities...you may have a menu setting that only saves to internal memory, so: clear your custom menus and check your shooting and playback settings. The specs on your camera states that it supports up to 16GB card, so the problem should be a menu setting. Also make sure the little tab on the left side of the SD card is NOT in the lock position.

I have the GE X550. I have a 64 GB card in it. I have formatted the memory card. I take pictures and I can use the display option to see my pictures. When I turn the camera off and back on, the camera...

The X550 works with SD cards, which max out at 2GB, and SDHC cards, which max out at 32GB (actually, the manual states 16GB). It does not work with SDXC cards such as your 64GB card. You need to use an SD or SDHC card with this camera.

I cant use my cam the screen appear full card

Delete some pictures off of the memory card. If you don't have a memory card that's your problem. Your camera can only hold 1-10 pictures without a memory chip installed

Is there away to get pictures that where taken with out a memory card off the camera and onto the computer?

How do you normally get pictures from the camera to the computer?

If you use the USB connection, remove the memory card before connecting the camera to the computer and you will only see the pictures on the camera.

If you use a card reader, use the "Copy to Card" command in the Setup menu to copy pictures from the internal memory to the memory card, then transfer the pictures from the card to the computer. Details are on page 62 of the manual.

All your pictures are still stored on the memory card of camera. You can recover lost pictures from memory card with photo recovery software.
1.Stop using this memory card to avoid overwritting your pictures by new ones.
2.Insert the card into a card reader.Connect it with your computer.

How to format the GE X500 Digital Camera

The camera has less than 14MB of internal memory. At its finest resolution three pictures is about all that will fit in there. You really do need a memory card, just as you would have needed film for an analog camera. The main difference is that you need only one memory card, instead of having to buy roll after roll of film. Even the smallest memory card you're likely to find will hold hundreds of pictures, and you can easily download them to a computer and reuse the memory card.

I cannot find a way to delete all the pictures in my camera A1455 GE I have an extra memory card in there as well. No owners manual from this camera.

If the pictures are on a memory card, format the card. If the photos are in internal memory, format the internal memory.

You can download the manual from the manufacturer's web site at
http://www.general-imaging.com/uploadedFiles/10_Our_Cameras/Cameras/Smart_Series/A1255_A1455_Q1455_J1455_UM_Eng.pdf

When trying to review pictures taken the message unable to recognise files comes up and doesnt save the last picture taken. We have a x5 GE digital camera. This problem happens most of the time.

Hi

Sorry to hear of the problem with your GE X5 camera.

I would suggest you start by removing the memory card, placing it in a memory card reader attached to a computer. Download the SD Card Association formating program (http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/) then format the card.

This should solve any corruption issues the card could be suffering from which in turn could cause the problems you have.

Hope this helps

Regards

David

Sometimes pictures show up on memory card of GE x5 cam. sometimes they don't. what could be the problem?

You have an internal memory and memory card selection on your camera. If you have it set on internal memory you can take photos but they won't show up on the memory card unless you save them over to the card. Change your settings and this should fix the problem
