SOURCE: BB BOLD9700 battery dies in a few hours after full

In that case you either have a faulty phone causing a high battery drain, a faulty battery (most likely) or a faulty charger. Even if you have BlueTooth and WiFi activated and use the phone a lot like I do, you should get at least a whole day out of it (I get a day and a half and I'm a very heavy user).

You probably guessed that already, but the point is that none of them are DIY fixes and all of them will still be fully under warranty as the Bold 9700 was only released to market in September '09.

In this case, the answer is simple, return your phone and charger for a refund/exchange. The supplier may suggest just swapping the phone at first, so if that fails they'll then change the battery/charger. Remember to remove the sim and also the micro SD card first, as the replacement handset will not have one: you may also be told to retain the rear cover for the same reason.

Make sure that you perform a full back up via BlackBerry Desktop Manager as you'll then be able to transfer your data straight onto the replacement handset. Afterwards, fully data wipe the phone for security. This can be done in BB Desktop or you can do it under the security tab in the settings menu. Alternatively, if you have a phone password then just enter it incorrectly a few times (ten attempts is the default) and the phone will then prompt you to type in "blackberry" before wiping itself. Note that these security tips only apply if your phone was a private purchase, if your phone has been supplied by your employer then follow their directions instead as they may have the corporate Enterprise Edition of the BB Operating System installed which does some things a little differently.

I hope that this has helped, if so then please rate my answer.

SOURCE: bb bold wont charge

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Have you tried plugging the BlackBerry is different outlets or tried a different USB cord?

Does the BlackBerry show a charging symbol or is the LED flashing red or green?

I look forward to your reply.

My bb pearl it`s flashing 3 times stop then 2 times i can`t start my bb i can`t upload anything my computer dosn`t see my phone.what can be done to fix my bb?

Perform a hard reset on the BlackBerry smartphone. To perform a hard reset, complete the following steps:
1) Remove the battery cover from the back of the BlackBerry smartphone.
2) Remove the battery, and then reinsert it after a few seconds.
3) Replace the battery cover.
If the display is still not working, verify that the battery is charged by trying it in a different BlackBerry smartphone.
If the battery is working, download the latest BlackBerry Device Software and install it using the application loader tool in BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

New BB 8130 Pearl phn and new battery and its been charging

Remove the battery, then remove the Memory card and Sim card (if you have a sim card). Then replace battery. Try this. If this does not work, while off try connecting the device to your pc, through bb desktop software. If the device STILL does not turn on or your pc does not recognize it, you may have a hardware problem.

Hope this helps

My Blackberry curve 8320 won't turn on it just has a battery icon with a red line through it on screen. A new battery was tried and the problem still exists.

This usually means the bb and battery got a little wet or has other issues. Try these solutions in order. They go from easisest to hardest. NOTE: If you have an insurance policy on the bb probably best just to take it in.

1. Remove the back cover. Remove the battery and the SIM card. Wait 30 seconds. Replace SIM, battery and back cover. Reboot. Plug in the bb and charge fully.

2. If that doesn't work, allow the bb to remain unplugged but ON for about 24 hours to drain the battery. Remove back cover and battery. Allow battery and opened bb to sit in a dry environment for 24 - 36 hours. Relace battery and cover. Reboot. Plug in the bb and charge fully.

3. If that fails, retry step 2 but allow battery to FULLY drain then dry out again.

4. Take in to cell store.
