Question about Tablets & eReaders

2 Answers

I have a gotab gtd9-x with jellybean 4.2.2, it's stuck on the system restore page and even when rebooted or turned off, it returns to that same page. Suggestions?

The page i get stuck on contains the following : " SDK : MID-A20-Android4.2-V2.0patch1 Android system recovery Volume up/down to move highlight; enter button to select : -reboot system now -apply update from ADB -wipe data/factory reset -wipe cache partition -apply update from external storage -apply update from TF card -apply update from cache ________________________ No command " Above is exactly what my screen says, with the android figure lying in the background with his chest open! please could someone give me some good advice regarding it (preferably not just 'wipe it, duh!' or 'click all the options til it works!'. Thank you for your time and consideration; it's much appreciated! :)

incidentally, it occurred after i inserted the microsd that came with it; the tablet began lagging so i thought maybe it was a battery issue and plugged in the charger, only for it to restart and go to that recovery page. i've since removed the microsd card, but it still comes up with that page when i turn it on/off. also, i only got it today :(

When powering the unit up be sure NOT to press volume Up or Down as this will enable SDK mode (what your currently getting) if your not touching these keys as you power up it may be that the volume key is stuck on in which case it will need looking at by a trained engineer

SOURCE: Android tablet will turn on an make it to the word

I will try to help you solve this problem. First you may have pressed the on and off button and the volume button at the same time. This is no pig problem. It will come back on after a while without doing any thing or you can try rebooting it back on to factory setting. Mine did the same thing and when I just waited later it popped back on.

How do I restore my Samsung tablet to the origional form?

Hi Erica, the only way to restore your tablet to original form will be to factory restore/reset.
This is how to do it.
1: Click on your Settings Icon.
2: Click on Back up and reset
and Automatic Restore so they are clicked, then click on Factory data reset.
    3: Click on Reset Device
4: Then click on Delete all

Your tablet should now restart and look like the day you bought it.

Please note that the factory reset might take a few minutes to do the reboot. Don't turn of or disturb the the rebooting, wait until it finish by itself.

If you are tech savy, open unit and pull battery and put it back... If you are not, let the battery run dead, then charge it up and it should work... If it is still on warranty (xmas gift), return it before trying to pull battery, since that will most likely void your warranty...

Need to unlock my craig 741e tablet

I got a Craig 741e (CMP741e), FCC ID AQF-RA-WN11087A with a lost password, stuck on a lock screen, forgotten pattern, no wifi connectivity.

The Craig does NOT support a reset mode, none of the typical combinations of power/volume buttons get you to a restore screen.

The only supported way to restore to default is a firmware restore mode.http://www.craigelectronics.com/site/pdetails.php?id=414 will tell you how to get the firmware file

    http://www.craigelectronics.com/firm...irmware4.0.rar

    (install instructions: http://www.craigelectronics.com/firm...guide_741e.doc)

HOWEVER! Some CMP741 units will end up stuck on the green Android screen with this version!

If that happens, Craig has supplied a cleaner firmware in case that the first one fails,

    http://www.craigelectronics.com/firm....0_cleaner.rar

The name of the core image in that RAR file is sun4i_crane_aihua_20121121, if that gives anyone clues about the system.

Installs the same way - will reboot several times after the firmware install completes, and will fail the first time it runs ("Unfortunately, <process name> has stopped." over and over again). One more reboot will solve that issue.
The Flashing software, PhoenixCard 3.06, is VERY buggy. If would not work with my built multi-card reader on my PC or with an add on-SD card reader on that PC. (could not even see the card). On my laptop, the built in PCI Card reader never recognized the card, but it finally burned the card using the add on card reader. Some people suggest disconnecting ALL USB peripherals before burning. Also, I found if the flash burning failed over and over, sometime a reboot caused PhoenixCard to start working again.
