Question about Canon PowerShot S500 IXUS 500 Digital Camera
Used micro settings to shoot a picture at night. the shot had a red tint as if from laser beam. Now every setting produces red tint and the battery gets very hot.
Not sure about the hot battery, but
the red tint may also be caused by a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

Please de active the redeye option on your camera setting.
And restore the factory setting and turn off camera for 5 minutes after this use it.
