When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

Hi kgee
Although this is not the exact service manual for your tv, it does have the same power supply.

As a matter of fact your akai is a samsung tv.
the replacement of that board is easy since it is all plug-ins and you can find that power supply in quite a few places,
Just google that part number.

Won't power on

The product uses a power cord, if the power supply is a power cord with electrical connections at each end. Figure 1: Power cord c00057913.jpgThe product uses a power module, if the power supply is a power cord connected to a power module. Figure 2: Power module c00745315.gif

    1. Check the power module part number against the part number listed in the User’s Guide to make sure that the proper power module is being used.

    5. If the product does not turn on, or the power light built into the power cord does not glow, plug the product into a wall outlet in another room.
      • If the product or power light turns on when connected to a wall outlet in another room, there is an issue with the power supply in the previous room.
      • If there is still no power to the product, then the power module, power cord, or product might be defective. Proceed to the next instruction.

I have a HP Pavilion 734n. the power supply went bad I had another one that is missing one plug on the motherboard. It runs fine but I want to know what that is for before I run it. I need a schematic...

Depends of power supply or motherboard. Some have 20+4 pins other only 20 - If your motherboard accept only 20, disconnect the extra 4. If you need a motherboard manual or chart, take a look of what is your motherboard brand and model and go to the manufacturer website to get that info.
