OKI B4100 paperjam warning

Like so many of you my paperjam warning is constantly flashing, though mine might be easier to solve.

Every time I send a print job to the printer, it'll start to load the paper but then jam. Pulling the paper tray shows that the printer has taken up a sheet but not even far enough to hold onto, as it is very easily pulled free with practicaly no pressure.
Manualy feeding into the dropdown feed in the front works just fine, but it flat refuses to pick up from the tray.
Any ideas how to solve this would be greatly appreciated, as I print a lot of B/W stuff, and cant really afford to replace my printer. I also have 2 spare toners for it.
I've tried scorring the center rubber drum that seems to take up the paper to give it more grip, but its made no difference at all that I can see.

I've had the printer for about 5 years now, but it started doing this about 2 years ago and its been shelved for most of the time since.
Use-wise, I've gotten through the original toner with it, and maybe half of a replacement, so call it 3500-4000 pages maybe

Acording your explained you need do
1) clean the input tray roller surface, to make sure it has enough grip force.
2) looking for a sensor around the roller rear, it could be cause the paper jam there, because if the sensor does not detect any input paper go throug there then should be stoped at roller rear.
3) if you find a optical sensor there, please use a slft cotton stick to clean its surface. (maybe open some cover needed)
hope you fix it , ask me any time please!

There is a yellow light flashing which i think is stopping my printer from working.it is the symbol furtherst to the right out of the 4 symbols any ideas

The rightmost LED is the Error light. How fast is it flashing?

If the light is flashing 1 long flash every 4 seconds (no other lights flashing), then either the image drum needs to be changed or the toner is low.

If the flash is one blink a second, then you have a paper problem or a cover open.

If you installed the OKI software with the driver, you can use the Printer Status monitor to identify the problem and order the consumables if you have a slow blink error. (Open the printer control panel (Start >Programs > Status monitor) and Maximize the window to see the Printer status.

You can find the manual for the OKI B4100 here: http://my.okidata.com/PP-B4100.nsf?opendatabase . View all manuals on the right. If that link doesn't work, see the support site: http://my.okidata.com/Home.nsf/Welcome?OpenFrameSet and select the B4100 in the Color/Mono Page Printer drop down menu.

I hope this helps.

Error LED blinking after paper jam, won't print

I have a similar but different model B4300. Several others, & I have found that a small piece of paper 1/2 square may lodge under a plastic guide, holding open a switch. This is very difficult to notice if you don't know where to look.
Open top lid
Remove the ink cartridge/roller drum as a single unit.
Look in the printer at the metal roller in front.
A Plastic strip on top & in front of the roller covers 2 square holes which should look dark. On your LEFT, as you face the unit, there is a small magnetic switch, to the LEFT of the LEFT square hole, under the plastic.
In my case, the paper was seen as white in the hole, and extended under the switch. I was able to grasp it with a small medical forceps, next to the switch. By gently twisting, I pulled it out without taking the unit apart.
The printer then worked perfectly after the paper under the switch was removed.
