Question about Sony PlayStation 3 40GB System
My PS3 when booted up says the hard disk is corrupted and needs to be reformatted. I do so and then after playing it for a period of time it freezes and I have to start the same process over again. Now it freezes when I turn it on and nothing happens. What is wrong with it?
This sounds like your hard drive might be bad. Try pulling the hard drive out of your PS3 then turn it on and see if it will turn on. If the system turns on then i would say your hard drive definitely needs to be replaced.
