I have xerox phaser 8400 : when i turn it on it says : service needed fault 37 002 47:115353\r\ncould anyone help for that . thanks

Service Manual says:
37,020.47 = (8400) Strip Solenoid
37,020.47: Strip Solenoid disconnect.
The strip solenoid is not drawing the
expected power.

The Solenoid (relay) may be bad, or the power to it is low.

The Stripper Solenoid positions the stripper blade. The solenoid mounts on the Upper Inner Duplex guide and activates the strip solenoid lever, which in turn rotates the Stripper Carriage
until it hits the transfix ground pins. This action causes the stripper blade to drop onto the deadband of the Drum.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

I have a HP P2015 laserjet printer that when it prints it produces a a faint veritical strip on the print out. what might be the problem..I have replaced the fuser unit and the toner catridge but the...

It is most likely be due to dust accumulation at the laser reflecting mirrors inside the printers, which partially blocks laser beams and results in faint print. (Strip with missing or less toner). Therefore the printer requires cleaning/ servicing by a professional. If you are familiar with the process of printer repair etc, you an do it yourself. Please visit the following link and download the repair manual for ready reference.

Can not detect cartridge from hp3325 deskjet

Check to see if the installed cartridge is the correct one for the printer. If the cartridge is the proper part number, remove the ink cartridge and make sure all the packaging tape has been removed from the copper circuitry strip on the backside of the cartridge. Reinsert the cartridge and try printing again.
If the error continues, remove the cartridge again and clean the copper circuitry strip on the backside of the cartridge, and the contacts inside the printer, by following the instructions below:
1. Use a clean, dry, soft, lint-free cloth. Locate the copper-colored circuitry strip on the back of the cartridge.
2. Wipe the copper-colored strip with the dry cloth. Use an upward motion, from the nozzle end to the top of the cartridge. Do not wipe the nozzle end of the cartridge or touch the nozzle plate. Wipe the contacts only once.
3. To clean the printer contacts, carefully look for fibers or contamination on the electrical contacts inside the carriage assembly, but do not wipe the printer contacts with any object. The contacts in the printer can be damaged if too much pressure is applied during a wiping process. Try to remove any visible attached debris within the carriage assembly by gently pulling the debris off with your fingers. If the carriage contacts show noticeable damage, contact the Customer Care Center listed in the printer's User's Guide.
Reinsert the cartridge and try printing again. If the error continues, the cartridge may need to be replaced.
Hope this helps. Please rate my response.
Have a good day.

When I try to down load driver, as suggested by DIPU007 for HP3325 on vista, I get this message & Iam not able to down load. "Error while unpacking program, code LP5. Please report to author."

Do you have AOL or CA AV, antispyware or security suite installed on your system? That seems to have caused this in a number of cases, and updating the security software should correct this, but uninstalling the antispyware section also seems to work. See link here, here & here. (There are also cases where the user had Eset security suite or symantec installed.)
You could have a look at your event viewer and see if there are warnings or errors associated with your applications that will help you to diagnose the exact cause of this message.
Finally, make sure you are downloading the correct vista driver for your system, either 32 or 64 bit.( link here and here).

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Hardware error 0504

Thank you for contacting to Fixya regarding your printer error message 0504.

I would like to inform you that error 0504 refers to encoder strip.

The encoder strip is most likely the problem. Unplug the power from the printer. Open the front cover and move the cartridge carrier to the center. You should see a white ribbon cable, a thin plastic strip and a black belt with teeth.
The thin plastic strip is the encoder strip. It rides in a sensor on the back of the cartridge carrier that you will not be able to see. Reach in with the first finger of either hand and carefully strum the strip as if playing a guitar.
The strip will need to be lowered slightly and brought towards you slightly. Please be careful not to break the strip or your printer will not function. Once you believe the strip is set correctly, plug the power back and try printing the self test. If it slams to the left again, the strip is not yet set correctly.
If you cannot repair the strip, please let us know so that we can assist you further.
Please Note: Fixing the encoder strip is a delicate procedure. During the troubleshooting, if the strip breaks, you will not be able to use the printer.

Next, try to print the self test.

Downloaded service & repair manual for brother mfc 5840CW- my unit. Will follow repair directions to check the memory then replace required parts. Will be cheaper and faster than finding a repair shop and paying as much as the macine to fix it! Rip off prices for repairs today on units so they can get you to leave them and buy a new one. Then they fix the unit and sell it "refurbished"- not mine!
Your information on clearing memory, the ink cleaning codes and taping the cartridge from over cleaning was good. Thanks for the help!

Sounds like your encoder strip is out of alignment. The encoder strip is a thin clear plastic strip that runs along the back side of the print head. It feeds information to the print head during the print process. If it it out of alignment or is missing, the printer will make a violent clunking noise during startup and will fail its self test. If it is out of alignment and still mounted, push back on it with your thumbs, then push down gently. Finally, pull it toward you with your index fingers and up into the groove behind the print heads. If the encoder strip is unmounted or totally removed from the printer, check it for damage. If there is so much as a bend or kink in it, it will have to be replaced. New strips can be purchased from HP for around $60. You will have to determine whether it is cost effective to replace the strip or replace the printer. Now if it is undamaged, you can remount it. There is a hook on each side of the print track where the strip hooks into. Be careful because the strip will not hook in easily because once you get one side hooked in, it is difficult to keep it hooked in while you connect the other side. Once you get both sides hooked in, align it as stated above. Hope this helps. Good luck.
