SOURCE: p400c-2 fellowes shredder only runs in reverse no

I just had the same problem. I called the 800 # they asked for proof of purchase to replace if 1 year old. I did not have it so...... I took it apart ------ unpluged ! Only to find all gears are fine, service dept. said gears cause this problem, not so with mine. Remove top by pulling of base remove 6 screws on under side, played with the switch inside a bit and, it now works, do not know how long but for know it does. My opinion is the relay gets dirty, and you cannot clean it without talking whole thing apart.

I have a Staples Shredder model SPL-TXC6A (serial 0809026807), which I have been using a lot lately. The auto and reverse buttons will not function, & neither will the forward button.

If you have used it a lot, it may have tripped the thermal fuse. Normally, these reset themselves. One thing to make sure of,, is that the safety switch under the machine is firmly on the pin in the basket under it.

This is a light duty shredder, you can only use it for two minutes!

6-sheet, light-duty, up to 25 uses/day
Runs 2 min on / 4 min off

My shredder runs non stop, when I insert paper to shred , it stops... I push reverse, it works , pull paper out and runs non stop.......

Sounds like a bad or stuck sensor, acting as if it is always seeing a peice of paper in it. Check if you can find it and maybe it is just stuck to the on position..

Omnitech only runs in reverse

In the middle of feed opening there is a sensor which in your case will be stuck. Try clear it using tweezers. Failing that soak the blockage up excessively with WD-40 as it will loosen and soften stuck paper leave it for 10-15 minutes, repeat 2-3 times. Then power on the unit and it should be good as new! Good luck

Royal 85x crosscut shredder stopped working

Some shredders aren't designed to shred anything more than paper. Credit cards, staples, paper clips and the like could have jammed it up. Try running the shredder in reverse and oiling the blades. More help with paper shredder oil here: http://hubpages.com/hub/Paper-Shredder-Oil

If you can't get the paper shredder up and running, it looks like you might have to pick up a new paper shredder. Paper shredders can be pretty cheap though, great guide to cheap paper shredders here: http://hubpages.com/hub/Best-Paper-Shredders

Sounds like the cutter is jammed. Do you ever feed staples or clips in it? Will it reverse? If not, the power borad is burned out.
