Turbochef Tornado EC cooling fan ALWAYS runs at full speed

What jim said is right. plus clean the front vent. take off bottom front panel and clean all the little round holes. also if its dirty inside everything runs hotter(which makes the EC get warm faster) and dirt gets on the little wire(it's about 4" long coming from the main 40 pin connector0 that monitors the EC temp(clean it). sometimes the fan starts to get weak and doesn't cool properly. also, unplug oven, take side panel off and clean it as well. there are vents on it that get clogged. while it's unplugged clean the inside. I use a paint brush and shop van. just be careful not to hit wires or knock wires off. this will all help a bit but that fan will still run a lot anyway.

When i start games on my pc the temperature increased to 100 degrees and pc turned off.

First, and most importantly: don't attempt to run any more graphics-intensive applications on your notebook (such as games) until you resolve the problem; you can permanently damage your computer's internal hardware.

There a couple reasons computers will overheat:

  • As it appears you're using a laptop, make sure you use it on a smooth, flat surface. Placing on surfaces like bedding or carpet can block the exhaust vents on the machine, causing heat to build up inside the chassis.
  • Look at the exhaust vents on your laptop: is there a lot of visible dust and dirt in them? Your vents (and the internal cooling fan) are probably clogged. A can of compressed air can help to blow debris out. If there's a lot of debris compacted in the vent or fan, though, you may need to have the machine taken apart to physically remove the blockage.
  • Finally, listen to your machine: do you hear the fan come on at all? If your fan never spins up, you may have a faulty fan. In this case, there is not sufficient airflow to cool your system, and you'll need to have the fan replaced by a certified technician.

I have a powersuppliefan that make a lot of noice. My question is: is it possible to replace the fan with a new and more quiet on? I have a zepto d47v

You can replace the fan. Most are 120mm at 120VAC. I would advise against it unless you know what you are doing. Power supplies can carry a charge even though they are disconnected. Better off replacing the power supply.

The draft inducer comes on and the furnace lites as normanl Goes thru its cycle and kicks off. The problems is the draft may not kick on the next time and sticks and the motor gets hot, If I go remove the...

When a furnace is replaced with a newer style unit like yours with an inducer motor, they sometimes use the old vent pipe. These old style vent pipes are transite (light weight cement), the moisture created from your furnace exhaust is caught on the cool transite surface and runs back down into the blower blades or wheel bringing a white mineral deposit with it which causes your problem. The vent should nave been replaced with the heater using a metal vent material. You will need to replace your inducer motor assembly and vent pipe to prevent a recurrence.

If the fan is noisy and the laptop is running hot, then most likely the fan is faulty and spinning slowly. Therefore the fan is not providing sufficent air flow to cool the laptop's CPU. The fan needs to be replaced and possibly the heatsink assembly needs cleaned to remove dust buildup.

Lazer 73: blower making a lot of noice

G M,

Your stove does need to be overhauled. The vibrations are the blower exhaust wheel being out of balance due to carbon build up. If it has been vibrating for a long time you will need to replace the motor. The L73 motor bearings are hard to get off without either bending the shaft or breaking the rev sensor. The burner pot will be another part that may need changing. It may have a warped or cracked bottom. If this is so it needs to be replaced with a new one. The burner ring will have to be replaced as will the mat. Several gaskets will need to be on hand in case you break them. All toll the above will run around $400 or so. It's well worth it considering a new one is $1750 or so. The first thing you need; though, is a service manual. Get in touch with your local dealer and get one. It will make your repair much easier.

GE Spacemake XL1800 whines every time it cooks works great the

The charcoal filter must be changed every 6-12 months, depending on how much and how the oven is used.

If a filter clogs, it will interfere with cooling and lead to magnetron damage.

It may also be putting a strain on the cooling fan or hood vent exhaust fan, or one of those fans may have a blade loose on the motor shaft.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts (including filters) by entering your full model number here.

Compaq Presario SR1365CL (4) yrs old, fan making annoying noice

Often you can blow the dust out of the fans and it will help. In your case the bearings have most likely dried up on a fan. First blow the dust out of all the fans. To find the offending fan you will have to block the blades with something. Once the fan is found you can either replace it with a fan of the same size or re-oil the bearings. To re-oil, carefully peal away the label on the fan. There might be a plastic plug over the bearing, carefully remove it. Drop a few drops of 4-in-1 oil or sewing machine oil into the bearing. Stick the label back on and put the fan back into the system. It should be much quieter now.

Hello Prask, Cooling the Intel's LGA775 CPU presents quite a challenge due to it's high operating temperatures, and while the ideal solution would be to use water, not all of us are ready to make the jump. The best solution I found for an easy replacement of the stock cooler is nMEDIAPC ICECONE Pure Copper CPU Cooler. It is an easier install than Thermaltake, and is just as quiet. You can find it here for the best price: Let us know if you need any additional assistance. Best regards, nightdiver
