lol i had the exact problem that you are having with my alpine. The solution is taking the blue cord that was inside the vehicle (forgot what cord it was) and actually connecting it with the other blue cord thats different makes the factory amp read the cd player and ta-da it works. crazy isn't it

SOURCE: connect alpine 7874 to alpine powered sub

You need to run the RCA cables from the head unit to the sub for the audio signal, and possibly a turn on wire (the blue one on the back of the head unit), unless the sub has an automatic power feature.

The sub also needs power and ground wires attached, but those do not connect to the head unit. Power should be run directly from the battery with an inline fuse, and ground should go to the nearest good ground point (Trunk latch, seat bolt, etc).

SOURCE: No sound from my 9855 alpine

There is an option in the unit itself to turn off the internal amplifier. If you push the 'menu' button, then go to the setup/settings menu, and then i believe it was under the 'general settings' tab. there's a option called INT IC or something. Make sure that is turned on.

I need help hooking up a rca converter box in a Lincoln town car carter with the alpine stereo system

Is the converter powered or passive? Each RCA (red or white) connection represents a + and - speaker wire for one speaker or channel. So assuming you already have the amplifier you'll cut the speaker wire coming from the head unit. From the head unit speaker wires will attach to the input or hi-level connection on the converter. The other half of the wiring goes to the speakers in the doors. Those will go to the amplifier which is or should be fed by the RCA's on the hi-level converter box.
Passive coverters don't require 12v power but active ones will need 12v input from a remote signal such as from ignition circuit or a power antenna to turn the unit off and on so your battery isn't drained with the car off.

Most Alpine CDA units come with an option to turn on/off the internal amplifier in order to give you better sound when connecting an external amplifier. Try turning on IC

Im adding a alpine cda9884 headset with a ktp-445 already installed on it into my 96 grand cherokee. I am. Going from the ktp445 straight to the speakers. My problem is i cant get anything at all out of...

how is the signal going from headunit to the power pack? Should have a harness from the power pack to the deck (h/u). then out to the factory harness in the jeep. remember there is an amp under rear seat so you need to bypass that to make everything work. yes the blue/white wire from deck to blue/white wire ath the power pack (amp) should be connected in order for the power pack to turn on.

ALPINE TMX-R1000 ISSUES

You don't have S-Video coming out of it, although it looks like it. It's actually a bundled cable that carries power, video, audio, and control signal for an Alpine DVD player. It plugs into an interface box that has the actual power connections and inputs/output, and the control cable for an Alpine DVD player. I know this is an old post, but if you still have the unit and would like to sell it, or if you want to get the interface box, I can help you...

Removing alpine receive from dash

Unless you have the 'keys' that came with the unit, you'll need an Alpine dealer to a) get keys so you can remove yourself (wiring just un-plugs) or b) installer. CStereo mfgrs use different snap-lock mechanisms and sometime different keys for different models.

Alpine mrd m500 amp is not pushing my 12 in infinity sub

If you have a dual voice coil sub, make sure that you have the positive and negative terminals connected properly. If you have ONE of the coils wired backwards, it will cause the speaker to produce little or no sound.

Have you set the gains properly?

Are you sure the amplifier is receiving a strong signal from the head unit?

Have you tried it with a different speaker?

Alpine kca-420i when hooking up to alpine iva-d901 screen says no magazine and i pod doesn't power up

  1. Make sure your iPod has a fully charged battery before connecting it to the KCA-420i. When you connect it for the first first with low to no charge left, the receiver will not recognize it.
  2. Check all your AiNet cable connections. These connectors can be finnicky if they are not plugged in ALL the way and can come out when reinstalling the head unit
  3. Make sure your head unit is in Changer mode after verifying the above.

No sound from speakers after mra-f350 connected to alpine w205

Did you set the digital output to the on position on the bottom of the head unit?

You have to switch the head unit off then back on for it to recognize the position of the switch.
