I can't take my 2006 lincoln zephyr out of park. checked fuse and brake lights, all work fine. when I try to press brake and put it in gear, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Thinking its a neutral safety switch issue. If it isI need to know where its located.

SOURCE: 2006 zephyr kill switch for 2006

a15538c0-9ac1-4e91-ac04-b80a192ad3d8.jpgNot sure what you mean when you say "kill switch". If you are talking about a fuel cut off switch, that switch is (see picture) under the kick panel on the passenger side of the vehicle. Hope this is what you were talking about.

2006 lincoln zephyr stuck in park

Next to the shift lever is a small square cap flush with the console pry it up and out with a small screw driver. Under the cap is a button, push it down and put the car into gear. This will get you going, finding out the cause is another problem, a blown fuse can cause the problem or a broken neutral safety switch (located above the break pedal) or as in my case none of the above, it just kept working after that. Good luck.

2006 zephyr, tail lights do not work. Is there a fuse for this assembly and if so what number is it?

Not quite sure if you are talking about the stoplamps or the parklamps which would I think be front and back. But if you look in the fuse panel located inside the vehicle to the left of the steering wheel by the brake pedal, in the number 4 position is a 15 amp fuse which covers parklamps & the license plate lamps. In the number 21 position is the stoplamps fuse and is a 7.5 amp fuse. This should be in your owners manual if you have one. if you need an owners manual for your car, you can email me at with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy of it. No worries it won't cost you anything.....yes there are still free things in the world. Anyway here is a picture of that fuse box layout for you if you need it. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Will not come out of park , unless you push really really hard on the brake.

your problem is the brake light switch. it is either out of adjustment or broken.

each vehicle has a switch that when you press the brake pedal it makes contact. look up under your dash towards the top of the pedal. you can manually press it. either your pedal is not making contact or the switch is bad.

My 2006 lincoln zephyr's front turn signals quit working. I can't find a fuse location for turn signals. Is there one?

check the inside fusebox, at location f20, this is the fuse # location F 20, this fuse operates the dsp module which is the digital signal processing. check that fuse.also check F4. now look under the hood and check these two fuses in that box, fuse 23 (F23) and fuse 19 (F19). hope this helps.

2006 Altima won't shift into reverse or park

Is there any warning lights or malfunction besides this?? There are three main parts that may cause this: Park/Neutral safety switch(located on the transmission), Brake pedal switch(located at the brake pedal), Shift lock solenoid(located below the shifter). P/N safety switch prevents the shifter from shifting out of (P) or shifting into (R/P) while vehicle is in motion. Brake pedal switch sends a signal to release the shifter lock to shift out of park. Shift lock, locks the shifter as describe above and is located at the shifter base. I recommend inspection/replacement of the shift lock solenoid and P/N safety switch as its an intermitted problem. Hopefully this helps

Your trans will not come out of park until the brake pedal is depressed and the brake light switch activated, you most likely have an issue switch or the wiring to it, 1st thing to do is see if the brake lights work, if not jumper the switch at the brake pedal and see if the lights work, if they do, and it will still not come out of park there is a problem with the release solenoid on top of the steering column, you will have to drop the column to service that solenoid, but most often the issue is with the brake light circuit, either the switch or the connector to it..
