If the memory is filled up when a fax is received ... when there's no paper, or it is jammed (so that it can't print) ... you can print the fax (in Memory, after putting in new paper, or fixing the jam) by pressing the START/MEMORY button. After it prints, the memory is cleared.
If the memory is filled up when you're scanning and storing a document into memory (to be fax out), press the START/MEMORY key to transmit the pages that's already in memory. After transmitting the content in memory, the memory will be cleared/emptied. You'll need to scan the remaining pages to transmit (as a separate fax)
There is a Fax in memory. Either, the machine has a paper jam, is out of paper, or needs the ink cartridge replaced. Fix the above and the fax will print and the machine should work in Fax mode again.
For a unit with paper and no paper jam, try adjusting the paper stack and check if the unit picks up the paper properly. If you have ink in the cartridge, try cleaning the print nozzles and contacts. If a nozzle cleaning from the unit doesn't work, do it manually. Use a damp cloth (lint-free) and wipe in one direction only. Dampen the cloth with bottled or distilled water for best results. See your manual for pictures.
MEMORY IS FULL / SEE MANUAL (alternating messages) The memory is full. You may have too many messages recorded in the answering machine. To erase messages, see below. This may occur during fax reception if too much data is received before the pages can be printed out. If faxes have been received to memory because printing is not possible (an additional message will indicate the problem), resolve the problem so that printing can continue (see Substitute Reception to Memory on page 66). If you are attempting to transmit from memory, see If the memory becomes full on page 57. If you are copying, see If MEMORY IS FULL appears on page 67.
Erasing received messages: It is important to erase received messages after you listen to them to ensure that the memory does not become full. ? Erasing all messages: To erase all messages, press FUNCTION, DELETE, and then START/MEMORY. ? Erasing a single message: To erase a single message, press DELETE while the message is being played.
If the memory becomes full while the document is being scanned, MEMORY IS FULL and SEE MANUAL will alternately appear in the display. ? Press START / MEMORY if you want to transmit the pages which have been stored up to that point in memory. The remaining pages will be ejected from the feeder. After transmission, the memory will be cleared and you can transmit the remaining pages. You will also need to transmit the page which was being scanned when the memory filled up. ? Press STOP if you want to cancel the entire transmission.
Noisy line? is all that strikes true when you ensure me it makes great photocopys, but then you receive OK, very strange, All the mechanisms for doing a local copy is the same as sending a fax the difference is the conversion to phone noise so it has to be electronic, I;d guess lightning/power surge, cant think of much else....sorry
Sounds like you have the machine set up to print reports on all occasions, fax transmission, error, etc. You can change this by doing the following: 1 Press these keys: The display will show: 4 FUNCTION TRANSACTION LIST 2 Press a number from 1 to 5 to select the condition for printing. SEND ONLY A report will be printed after each transmission. NEVER PRINT A report will never be printed. ERROR ONLY A report will be printed only when an error occurs. To print from memory: If the memory becomes full... If the memory becomes full while the document is being scanned, MEMORY IS FULL will appear in the display. ♦ Press the START/MEMORY key if you want to transmit the pages which have been stored up to that point in memory. The remaining pages will be ejected from the feeder. After transmission, the memory will be cleared and you can transmit the remaining pages. You will also need to transmit the page which was being scanned when the memory filled up. ♦ Press the STOP key if you want to cancel the entire transmission.
