Hp ipaq wont charge from usb cable. turns on for a few seconds nd loads but then turns off. it wont fully charge.

On the the IPAQ 6515 and others, there is a USB Power option that you must enable to 'slow' or 'fast' charge from USB connection.

Charging indicator stays red the USB cable plugged in to a powered PC? Could be cable or battery issue. Red light means that the battery is very low on juice. Return it to where you got it from if you can't solve it on your own.

Red Light!

Hi xx

It sure does sound like a battery. If it is more than 12 months old, and regularly charged(daily) , then it will need replacement.

Connection with my iPAQ 3660

...USB and Serial cradles and cables from... There are probably other sites, but these are a few from a quick search... Otherwise, yes via IR if the PC your synching with has IR functionality... BT and WiFi also, but you need to establish a partnership via USB/Serial/IR first... Go to this site and download the Reference Manual, etc... You can get the latest version of ActiveSync from... __________________ "When all else fails, read the instructions..."

Sync via bluetooth

Does your USB adapter provide serial port connections ? I had the same issue with an USB adapter with a dedicated-to-phone software. I changed to MSI bluetooth adapter and then made a serial port available to COM5, then connect activesync to COM5. (make sure on the ipaq you create a shortcut "activesync connection" and pair with the bluetooth adapter.

Activesync via bluetooth

I have bluetooth Activesync working on my hw6515 connected to a Dell x300. Followed the instructions in the User Guide Chapter 9. Need to take note of the com port assigned to bluetooth serial port on the PC. Connection must be initiated each time from the IPAQ ie go to buetooth manager and connect the activesync shortcut.
