Unfortunately, I know exactly what you are going through, this same thing happened to me with my Toshiba laptop.

After many days of frustration, I learned that I had a problem with the motherboard, which I replaced. But before I tell you to go buy a new motherboard, let's clear up the symptoms.

Is the machine completely and totally dead?

    Is there any light anywhere?

Can you try another wall outlet (to be sure there is power to the wire)?

Can you locate a backup power cord, to test and be sure the power cord isn't the problem?

The first line of determining the cause is the power adapter. Most Toshiba laptops use the same power adapter, and they are pretty easy to find.

See if you can get your hands on one and just plug it in to see if you have a light anywhere.

good luck

You could be experiencing a not uncommon problem with the power jack. Please have a look at this article and then try gently wiggling things a bit to see if you get a momentary connection. If so, you will have to do a bit of electrical work or take it in to a reliable local technician and have them fix it for you. If you're comfortable with minor electrical soldering, there's a link there to show you how to repair it yourself...

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

My toshiba satellite L25-S1194 wont turn on. no lights, nothing. how could i fix this?

Try taking the battery out, plug the computer in, and see if it turns on. Press the "Power" button for at least 20 seconds (and press hard). If that doesn't work, put the battery back in, and do the same thing. I assume no lights appear like its charging (as you said). If this is the case, then you might have a dead charger (wire broke inside, power surge broke the adapter, etc). You may want to try a different charger of the same model (either from your local Best Buy or from a friend). If it does look like its charging, then your laptop's power supply has died (or the motherboard has died). This is a much bigger hardware problem and should be under warranty (or time to buy a new laptop). All data should be recoverable, however.

Iphone will not turn on! Shows Apple logo then fades out?

Leave the phone plugged into the car charger with the "plug into itunes" screen long enough to build a charge. It sounds like the phone is dying before it gets a chance to connect to itunes and start charging through the computer. If this does not work then the store clerk was correct and your battery will need replacing

Woke up this morning and my free lander refused to start apparently from. Battery default. Subsequently my reading light is not functioning well. What's the likely problem please ?

if you have low light from reading light ,then you may of left something on like a dome light or something from an accesory charging or playing while vehicle is turned off.most of the newer vehicles have an computer which need a certain voltage in battery before it will crank preventing damage to electrical components

MY psp had a problem,..i just used it last night then i charged it,...i woke up this morning then im shocked because my psp is not ok,...when you try to open it it will open u can see the sony computer...

I presume that this PSP is a new one and so would request that you take the unit for warranty service than to tamper. All what could be done is to reset the unit and if this wont work contact SONY service for the support/warranty.

It could be the charger, the phone's power interface, or your battery. When you plug the phone in to charge it, does it recognize the charger and show the lightning bolt symbol for charging?

If you use your computer's USB port to charge it instead of the wall charger, does it act any differently?

Archos 404 not charging

Dont use the USB to charge the 404. Use a wall charger that accepts USB. Wally world (Walmart) has one for 15 dollars that has 2 USB ports. It works for me. Also the docking station will charge the 404 in no time at all. It's 80 dollars. Make sure you get the generation 4 unit
