as the author of the blog, i would like to clarify that, i am just trying to help.

though secondly it is not supported by acer, but then I WOULD LIKE TO CLARIFY AGAIN. all file comes as it is, from the MANUFACTURER website.

If there is a virus in it, i would guarantee that it will be from the MANUFACTURER,

as i uses multi tier anti virus to scan the file, and it is CONFIRMED VIRUS FREE as on upload time.

Finding drivers for Windows XP would be a tricky thing. As Acer doesn't support Windows XP officially anymore, there are no drivers available on the internet too.
Some users claim that they have tried installing Windows XP and installed the Vista drivers, which worked fine, while some claim that using the Vista drivers didn't work out properly.

Now, to those who are going thru a lots of headache trying to setup the realtek audio drivers on the Acer 4520, let me tell you “been there, done that” and i wans’t easy, what a bad experience since i been in computers many year and fixing them many, many times, but this one was really challenging. Ok now to solve this issue, first thing:

1- Go control panel> System> Hardware> Device Manager…..and look down to “System Devices” Look for the Microsoft UAA Bus driver device, if is not there after you install the realtek audio drivers, thats the whole issue there.

2- Your next step will be be, uninstall the realtek audio drivers> re start system> google this “Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio” download this driver (this is the drivers for the “PCI device that you see that needs a driver) once you install that and your system reconize you can proceed and install the realtek drivers.
What basically is hapening that the Windows SP2 or SP3 is missing to install this driver to activate the high definition Bus port on the system, without this the sound card cant be installed.
