You can open the Windows and see the battery charging indicator on the right-bottom-corner. You can monitor the charging progress (every 10 minutes; the battery should get 1 more percent charging). Please make sure that there is a "charging" info when your mouse pointer is hovering on that icon. If the info is "not charging", then probably the battery is start failing or it is failed.

Tip

Battery keeps dying for no reason:

Is your Battery good or bad?
Sometimes a battery seems ok then later it seems dead. sometimes it charges and then it won't take a charge. This keeps going on and doesn't really seem like the battery is bad. This is a common problem happening to everyone at times.
Could be a dead cell in the battery, try measuring each cell in the battery. If one cell is low it will seem like a dead battery. But the battery really needs to be replaced. The debris in the bottom of the cell is intermittently shorting the cell.

Hope this helps.

Battery doesn't hold charge for more than a week

All batteries will eventually fail to hold a charge. The battery chemistry and how you charge it can change how long the battery will last. The DMC-FS4 has a Lithium-ion battery so it shouldn't have as much of the memory issue of older rechargeable batteries. (This is the "you routinely recharge the battery when it's at 50% then it always stops working at 50% charge" problem.)

How old is your battery? Eventually you will need a new battery but the time to replacement will depend on the number of recharge cycles. With a Li-ion battery, I'd expect several thousand recharges before failure. Temperature and usage will effect this. The battery does lose charge even when not used.

Be careful, some versions of the firmware look for Panasonic's specific batteries or a "that match the Panasonic rigorous specs".

I've seen a few devices where the charger failed before the battery. If a new battery doesn't seem to be charging, replace the charger. I hope this helps.

Just bought one of these and it seems like it doesn't hold a charge it goes pretty good and thanafter 15 mins so slow??

Battery powered vehicles like scooters and golf carts have trouble going up hill because smaller electric engines aren't powerful enough or made for nothing more than flat land. You could have a bad battery or the battery isn't being charged enough. I know someone that has a golfcart and it takes approximately 48 hours to charge full. You may want to check the manual about charging times.

My Sloney E reader doesn't seem to be taking a

Because the battery is not removable? Best thing is to allow the E Reader to be completely cleared of any charge. OR While it is plugged in, press and hold the power and N buttons simultaneously for 20 seconds. I then turned the device on normally. Hope this help, have a great day..

When watching any DVD on my Sony DVP-NS999ES player, all the colors seem washed out. Is there anything I can do to correct this?

Projection televisions have a spinning light filter disk, assuming its DLP, and over time the get hot from the light and fade, It is fixable. Tell the repair man ahead of time you KNOW what the problem is, so he doesn't charge a rediculous amount of money. those color wheels are about $70 bucks and the tech will probably charge you the same in labor. sorry :(

Won´t charge

My SLVR had the same problem, so I bought a new one from Amazon. When I plugged the new one in the first time it did fine, but when I ran the battery completely out, it wouldn't charge. I played around with it a little bit, and I think I've found a solution that works: try taking the SIM card out of the phone, THEN charge it. It works on both my new one and my old one that way. The drawback for you is that you can't use your phone while its charging, I just switch phones while the other is charging, a bit of a pain sometimes, but the SLVR is my favorite phone so its worth it. :-) Good Luck.
