Grohe shower does not shut off

Model 114634. It worked good until a supply line broke off. Now, water will not stop running. Plus, both handheld and rain head run at same time, which never happened before.

SOURCE: Water runs out out both places for spout and shower head in tub!!

One of two issues. Either the shower valve was installed upside down or there is a twin ell ( Old School Diverter) Partially plugged. Odds are the valve is upside down.

Good Luck, Phil

SOURCE: Grohe hand held shower head stopped working

This is a simple fix. The tools you need are: cresent wrench. You want to remove the shower hear off of the pipe coming from the wall. On the inside of the end off the shower head there should be a small plastic disk remove it. It will have a series of holes this is called a water saver. The holes get stopped up with minreals take a tooth pick and clean them out. I see this all the time. If that does not work it will be in the valve

SOURCE: leak where Grohe shower head attached to the threaded pipe

using a pair of vice grips wrapped in a soft towel( to prevent scractching) turn the shower head in a counter clockwise direction to remove it then apply liquid teflon (real-tuf) to the threads on the shower arm and tighten the shower head but dont over tighten it liquid teflon is more effective at sealing leaks than teflon tape and it can be wiped clean

The water shut-off valve is leaking, thus not completely shutting off the water supply to the unit. Need to be repaired/replaced.

I can't get shower head pressure from the outer head of my new grohe freehander.

Everything you installed new. Please chack if not one of the gaskets came in a pipe or a line. I once had a rubber ring almost complete blocking the water flow.

Why is there Rust from tub spout and shower head

When you turn off faucets other than your tub or shower you will note that the water stops fairly abruptly. Not so with a shower head or tub spout. Some water always dribbles out even after you have turned it off. This small amount of water then evaporates leaving behind the iron that was dissolved in your water. This also happens if any faucet has a slow drip. There are products that will easily remove the rust stains. CLR, Iron Out, or Iron Ike are all good products that will remove the stain. Available at hardware stores, plumbing supply houses, and, ugh, Home Depot or Lowes. Please support your local business owners by purchasing there.

Why is there no hot water, only cold water coming out the mixer valve?

Sounds like the screen is plugged or the check stop is not working correctly

Grohe avensys dripping

Hi Bryan,

The leak you're seeing originates at the hot / cold water valve(s) itself. Most newer homes have valves that automatically adjust the temperature of the water to prevent scalding. Your Grohe Avensys, like many reputable makers, have warranties on their products and may make replacement parts available for free - if you are still under warranty - by call their customer support lines.

Generally, you will not be able to get free replacement parts at a hardware store, plumbing supply store, etc. You must call the manufacturer directly. Of course, you will have to pay for these parts at those retailers - if the valve is out of warranty, been replaced by the manufacturer under warranty previously, etc.

Your first step will be to identify the valve model. This information may be near the manufacturer's name - or may require locating the manufacturer's web site for visual comparison. Either way, you'll probably need to contact the customer service representatives to get help with replacement parts. They should be able to select the parts that you need to solve the problem and provide them along with printed removal & installation instructions.

I just installed Grohe aquatower 2000 shower panel. there is no hot water.

Before installing, did you check the supply temperature? The mixer won't do any good on your AquaTower if you didn't calibrate the water temperature coming out of the wall first. I suggest you remove the supply line to the unit and measure it with a handheld thermometer (it should read 36 or 38 degrees celcius), then reconnect to the unit and you should be able to make adjustments through the mixer.
