My P.C is running on windows 7 ultimate stopped working and the monitor is showing stromsparmodus message in its center.plzz help to fix this

Sounds like your "stromsparmodus" message is power saving mode for your screen. If you have a video card installed meaning the monitor is connected to a card that is inserted into the motherboards slot and the cable is over in a horizontal expansion area on the back of the case it may have died. You can try to remove it and connect your monitor the onboard video port after removing the faulty one and this should get it to boot. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE an expansion video card installed. Then you will need to probably replace your motherboard. you can try to remove the ram and just try one stick at a time. this can cause the computer not to boot if a chip has gone bad and you have onboard video. also just as a precaution you can reset you bios by unplugging the computers power supply and then pulling the small watch size battery out inside the computer for 15 seconds. and the replace it into the computer and repluging the machine. also check your monitor's vga or dvi cable is properly seated with no bent pins on either end.

When i start the computer the monitor doesnt go and the red light indicating an error apears. what that can be please?

Dear User,

Please refix the is display cable properly and check if the issues resolves.

Kindly check if any beep sound comes. To check is the system board is fine. Please press the Num Lock for 2-3 times and check if it responds(Led On/Off)
To check the monitor status, please remove the display cable which is coming from monitor and connected with System(Cpu), if it displays the message on screen then it passes the monitor test and indicates that Monitor is fine.

Please share the result.

No display...orange led on monitor.....

Hello,

Thank you for using fixya, my name is Carlo.

You have two possible problems.
1. Monitor
2. Computer

Here's what you can do:
1. Unplug the cord which connects the monitor and the chassis or the CPU of your computer. It's the blue one.
2. Let the monitor to turn on even if it's not connected to the chassis or the CPU of your computer. If you can see their a box which is moving around the screen, then, your monitor is working fine. If none, then you should buy a new monitor.
3. If your monitor is working fine because you can see something on the screen after unplugging it from the CPU, then it's the CPU that has a problem on it.

If the monitor passes the test, then, the CPU needs some troubleshooting. Opening a chassis is not that hard but it still need some troubleshooting hands for you to do that. If you are not that techy, I suggest you get a technician to do that or any person who can do the troubleshooting.

Here's the troubleshooting that should be done.

1. Unplug the CPU the drain the power by pressing and holding the power button for 5-10 seconds.
2. Open the chassis. Then re seat the memory stick. Check if it works by turning it on, you have to connect the monitor while checking it.
3. If no go. Unplug, do the same with the hard drive, but most of the time, if the Led is orange, it's the memory that is not working fine.

Hope this helps.

For any questions, leave a message her. But if it helps, please rate and leave a comment and suggestion on how I am doing or on how I can improve my service.

No signal analog

Can you still see the boot up screen when you start your machine up?
If you do, then restart the system.
As it's booting up, you tap F8 until you get a menu. Select "Last Known Good Configuration". That will help if you installed a bad driver for your graphics.
If that doesn't help, or if you don't get a picture at all, plug the monitor into another computer and see if it works.
If the monitor works and you still can't get a picture after following the aforementioned steps on your computer, you may need to replace the video card on your system.

First make sure all cables are tight and secured, and try pressing the Auto Button on your Syncmaster? It's for auto configuration.

If problem persist and if possible can you try using another known normal monitor/LCD? Also try your monitor using another cpu or laptop.

Monitor on but not working properly

If you just built the computer..the motherboard will give you a warning that some hardware has changed. you have to connect your keyboard and go into the bios and make sure everything is right. To be safe select set to default factory settings , save and reboot the computer. This is to prevent the settings for a previous cpu be used for the new one.

Dell E171FPb monitor turns on, but that's it

Hi Letneper,

Hope this will give you hints. Some monitors have standby mode or screen saver feature and or self test feature when not connected to video input of your PC or CPU. Except this problem did not occur at first use. You can turn this off like other monitors manually at OSD (on-screen display) settings if available. No more no less if it works fine with PC or CPU on then there's nothing to worry.

Best regards,
Rosener Guyano
