Garden hoes are very useful for laying out rows of plants. I also use mine to loosen the soil, kill weeds and to dig furrows. It's a very good all round tool

Garden and garden tools

One of my favorite garden tools is called a "scuffle hoe." When used correctly, is makes weeding much less difficult. It is great for flower gardens that have visible dirt. The scuffle hoe can gently pull out all of the weed sproutlings before they have a chance to really put down their roots very far. Start Vegetable Garden

What are cultivating tools? My neighbor said I have to buy some if I want to start gardening?

Cultivating tools are the tools needed to perform the tasks from breaking up the soil and preparing it for seeding to keeping the weeds out of the garden . The size of the garden and the type of soil determine how complex your tool collection. A 10' x 10' plot with soft soil could be handled with as little as a spade to break up or turn over the soil, a garden rake to level for seeding, and a weeding hoe to keep the weeds at bay. A larger garden with harder soil may require a power tiller to prepare the soil for seeding and there are countless types of hand and power tools to help with the task of weeding and soil conditioning. There are many inexpensive gardening books to help get you started. I recommend that you do some reading to see what you are getting into.

What is a weeder hoe? should i buy one for my gardening set?

A weeder hoe is a V shaped tool that catches the back of the stem of the weed and pulls it out from the roots which stops them growing back quickly. It's not a tool that you have to have, but if you have the cash, i would buy one.

I wanted to take out the carpet from our living room tiled floor. We used rugby (contact cement) and don't know how to clean the stains left on the said floor. What' s the best way to clean it?...

use a strait garden hoe its about 6 inches wide find it at any hardwhare . homedepo, lows etc. its just like a regular garden hoe eccept it is not turned at a 90 degree its strait get a long handle one so your not on your hands and nees find an edge you can get under between the carpet and tile and start chiping away at about a 45 degree angle with short powerfull strokes . I had the same problem when i bought my house tried everything I could think of and this worked the best and was easer on my back and nees
