SOURCE: I am having very poor

The power cord is the antenna and it should be stretched out straight for best possible reception. You could experiment with re-orienting the Bose, too.

There is a threaded 75-ohm coaxial FM External connector. You could probably get a compatible FM antenna at an electronics store.

Am having very poor fm reception on my lg ht914 adjusted how do I adjust the aerial

In the manual they suggest checking the antenna connection or adding an external one. Or tune to the station manually. (page 21)

Nowhere in the setup do they tell about attaching an antenna, so I don't know if it's possible.

I bought a Bush digtal/ AM/ FM radio ("retro transistor" style). DAB reception dropouts lasting several seconds each time have started occurring recently. AM/ FM is ok.

Constant usage of DAB should not cause it any damage ever. The dropouts are very characteristic of a poor signal reaching the DAB tuner, as digital is either there, or not there, nothing in between.

Check the aerial connection if any, the rod antenna if any, and try moving the antenna (whatever it is) to a better location, usually higher up, away from thick walls, and away from speakers if any.

Can i connect an external antenna to a sanyo awm 2000u stereo for better tuner reception?

Your stereo came with a piece of wire attached at the back. This is/was the FM aerial. It should be roughly 1 metre or approx 38" long. There is no socket on the back of this stereo to attach an external FM aerial. So if the wire broke off then you're going to have to either attach some new wire to the stub, or open the set up and solder directly to the circuit board.

The exact cable lengths for an FM antenna to pick up 88-108 MHz is 37.66" long.

Can not get DAB radio too work on my Vita audio but FM radio works fine

This may be because you live in an area where DAB reception is currently poor, but to check this, please use our postcode checker (see 'check your DAB coverage' panel on the right) to see which DAB stations you should be able to receive. If reception for your area appears to be good, then it may be down to local conditions or building materials. Buildings constructed from steel and reflective glass are not good for radios with internal aerials as they reflect and greatly reduce the strength of signal. In such a case an external aerial will greatly improve reception, but most importantly, if you are using the supplied telescopic aerial, you should ensure that it is properly fitted and fully extended upright.
Secondly, when our products are first powered up from new, they automatically scan the DAB network to see which services are available. During this process it is important that the radio is not touched and that the aerial has been correctly fitted and extended as instructed. If this has not been done then it is likely that not all stations will be detected and only the strong ones displayed. To correct this a new AutoScan/AutoTune or System Reset should be performed as instructed elsewhere in our Q&A's.

Fm radio works fine but the dab will not find any stations, I have tried different aerials and still no good

What's the make & model of the radio?
Most DAB/FM radios work from the same antenna, so if you receive FM stations, you should receive DAB stations in your area.
It should be noted that DAB transmitters work on lower power than conventional FM transmitters, and so you may be in a weak reception area (for DAB). It should also be noted that DAB uses different frequencies than regular FM stations and household appliances such as laptops,WiFi, microwave ovens, etc can affect DAb reception.

Am fm reception bad

FM reception is weak

What to do

• Extend the power cord as much as possible. The FM antenna is in the power cord.

• Move the power cord to adjust the FM antenna

• If you still have problems with FM reception, you may need an external antenna.

* Call Bose®Customer Service to request one.

The external antenna on your radio is a coax (round) design It needs an adaptor and an antenna which are cheap.

Easy to make, radio shack "F" connector 90 degrees or straight, to 300 ohm wire connections. Attatch a 300 ohm flat ribbon antenna cable to those two screws and plug into radio and see how your reception is. You will need to position the antenna wires to get best reception. I have hid them in back of paintings and so on.

Cheapest solution next to putting an extension cord on radio power cord.

Poor FM reception

Having paid over $1,800 for 3 Bose Wave systems in the past year, I was surprised and quite dismayed to find that Bose is trying to squeeze a few more bucks out of me in order to provide some very simple information. My Solution: I will never purchase another of your radios. Most humbly, Dr. Jerome Eldridge

Am antennas

Hi, to all. There are currently two types of Bose Wave Radio system available in the market. The first one being the WRCD with the top loading CD mechanism. This unit does come with the Antennae cable inside the box and this should sort out your problem. Another option is using an outdoor aerial antennae and connect this to the antennae port behind the unit. The second one is the new Wave Music System with the front loading tray mechanism. This system uses a unique concept of using the electrical cable included in the box and utilise your electrical pwoer line as the antennae receptor. I recommedn to keeping the pwoer calbe fully extended. Another solution for this is that Bose service centers do have a specific spare parts calbe called the AM/FM antennae cable for WMS which you can simply buy for around 20$ I assume. this basically bypases the power calbe and routes antennae reception through this minicable (brownish colored RJ calbe).

Glad to be of service...
