Hi! I'm having a problem with my HP Compaq nx6110 laptop. The problem started 4 days ago. When i plug in the power cable, my screen becomes very dull making me strain my eyes in order to see whats on the screen. And when i remove the power, it becomes bright (normal) which is the opposite of what should occur. I am wondering what the problem could be. I have never experienced this before. I cannot use it for long without plugging in power because the battery becomes depleted & it goes off.
This morning when i switched it on, it gave me the following message;
"Non-system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready"
I was surprised as there was no disks in it. So i had to restart it but this time it did not show this message, it started normally.
Is this the end of my laptop? I'm really worried. This is a struggle for sure. Please help me out on this. Thanks in advance. Your efforts will be highly appreciated.
Don't worry regarding that the issue regarding the display could be probably you try changing the brightness when you are plugged with you power supply and regarding the non system disk error may at that point of time the system has taken both the hard disk and dvd drive as master that is the reason you have got this message if this repeats then please provide me the serial no. and product no of the notebook and where do you live so that i'll guide you.
