After I press ctrl alt del, and choose to start windows task manager, nothing happened

I would run a system repair on Vista.
Look up 'repair' under the Help option.

Have a look here:

Hidden taskmaneger

Hidden Task Manager if you don't do it yourself, its probably a viral problem.

Update your antivirus and scan your system using full scan. Or better back up your important files and installation codes.

Also you can try to install Malwarebytes antimalware if you like. Superantispyware or Avira anti virus just in case.

Do not end any other process.

Taskmanager disabled by your administrator

Click on start then run
Type gpedit.msc then ok
Click + on administrative templates
Click + on system
Click on CTRL ALT DEL options
over to the right double click on remove task manager
Click on disabled then apply then ok
You will now have back taskmanager
This is normaly caused by malware you should if you havent already run an anti malware scan.
Malware Bytes is an excelent example of a scanner and is located here: get the free trial version its great.
