What is the code list please?

An electronic device with remote control has some infrared signals to control it. An universal remote control contains inside some sets of infrared signals. Every signal set has an identificator or code. So code list is document with signal set identificators. It needs to program your remote control to act to controlled device (TV, DVD, etc.)

I have the bush urc-3541 and have put in the code for a Sony tv but it only works with the remote virtually touching the tv infrared panel! Any thoughts why this might be?

It sounds like either the infrared panel is broken or the sensor which sends the infrared signal from your remote is damaged. Usually, infrared is very reliable unless there is something blocking the "line of sight" or the view between the devices. Below is a link to clone an infrared signal to create a new remote or you could simply purchase a universal remote. Good luck.

Emprex tv LXA 42A100B model LT 42409

Check the infrared emission from the remote control first, before confirming, the remote sensor inside the TV is faulty. If you wish to get some details about how to check a remote control, check the site linked here. If remote control is found OK, then only move to replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. The failure rate of infrared sensor is very rare case. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Check the site in 'Mosaic' view. It will make search easy.

Does nikon D5000 work with infrared

If you're asking about an infrared remote control then yes. It will work with the ML-L3 remote or equivalent. You will have to set the shooting mode to one of the two remote modes to do so.

If you're asking about taking infrared pictures then not so well. The camera has an infrared filter that masks out most infrared light from reaching the sensor. There are companies such as LifePixel which will remove the infrared filter to convert your camera into an infrared camera.

Tv remote not working

Check the remote control for its infrared emission first. You can check it with the help of a cellphone with camera. Eventhough human eye cannot detect infrared rays, electronic cameras can. Put your cellphone to camera mode, place the remote control [ replace its batteries with new ones]; at about one feet away from the camera lens, and press each button on the remote control. If infrared emission is there, you can see its image on the cellphome camera screen. If there is infrared emission for all button press of remote control; the infrared sensor inside your TV is faulty. It should be replaced with same type and number. If there is no infrared images, the remote control is not working, and should be replaced. Check the battery contacts of the remote battery compartment for any rust or dirt. Clean it well before replacing new batteries into it. OK.

Hey are PHILIPS remote is not working i don't no what to do help me pleces ;)

Hi Laura,
You can confirm if you're remote control is dead or not. Get a digital camera, point the infrared emitter of the remote to your digicam, while pressing any button look it at the screen of your camera. You will see the flash of the infrared if it is functioning. If you don't see infrared flashing then your remote control is dead. Replaced the battery as much as possible.
If you confirm that the remote is defective, you can may the replacement on or
Hope it may help you.
Thanks for using fixya.

I have a sony Bravia KLV-S40A10E 4 years old.Remote controle device is no ore working. Batteries have been changed without solving the problem .. Other Remote device ( DVD-Sony ) is also not working...

You just check your remote control handset for its infrared emission. There is an infrared light emitting diode [LED], in front of your remote control handset from which infrared light rays are send to your TVs infrared sensor, fitted inside it, behind the infrared window on its front panel. Infrared rays are invisible to human eye. We can check if it is there by using a cellphone with camera option.
Put the cellphone in camera mode, and place your remote control's LED side towards its lens, for about a feet away or so, and when you push its each button, you can see an image in the phones' screen. If it is there, and still your TV don't work with remote control, TVs infrared sensor inside is faulty, and needs replacement.
If there is no infrared image from your remote control, you have to buy one new remote control. OK.

My TV does no longer responds to my universal remote. The remote works on my other TV. Is there a problem with the TV infrared and can it be fixed?

The remote control is the one which emits infrared, the tv is just an infrared receiver. first of all, check the infrared in your remote control. To see this infrared beam, read the related article at:

hope it works for you. good luck
