I have whirlpool toploader LSL 9244eq0 and it will fill with water but will not spin, unless I turn the dial a little further and then it starts spinning. I had almost the same problem about 2 years ago and replaced the motor and it worked. Now it is doing it again only this time it spins near the end for hours and hours (left the house and came home).

Most likely your lid switch is broken. Most will fill and agitate but not drain or spin if lid switch is broken.
Part number is 3949237

I am looking to buy a sandwich maker like the 17936 and set it on timer for the morning so they are ready for when I wake up and go to work - does this russell hobbs model heat up and then stop heating...

Here are a few links to some information about the Russell Hobbs Model 17936 Sandwich Maker:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Russell-Hobbs-17936-Sandwich-Maker/dp/B002MRS1NM

http://www.reevoo.com/p/russell-hobbs-2-sandwich-maker

http://www.sonicdirect.co.uk/catalogue--iID--5785--russell-hobbs-17936-2-slice-sandwich-toaster-in-brushed-stainless-steel.php

I don't think you will find a small sandwich maker with the type of automatic timer you are describing. Most full size digital ovens have that function, but very few smaller units like the 17936.

Also, would it not be a bit impractical to leave a sandwich with perishable toppings in the machine overnight in order for it to begin cooking in the morning? Any kind of meat product left out overnight unrefrigerated may become dangerously contaminated and spoil.

For all the time these machines take to heat up, you might as well just get up 5 minutes earlier in the morning and prepare your sandwich then.

Good luck though either way.

Timer clock not working. can it be replaced?

You posted under malibu power pack.

Power packs do not have repair parts.
Occasionally folks write fixya saying they took power pack apart, but nobody reports repairing transformer or timer.

'Harry' wrote fixya with helpful information.
His timer stopped working so he bought cheap plug-in timer, set power pack to override, and then plugged power pack into cheap timer.
Harry said his power pack has 5 year warranty and he was negotiating with Malibulights.com for replacement. No word how that came out.

Best I found are tips for next power pack that might save money:
The reason I add tips now, before power pack needs replacement is some fella wrote fixya.
He bought 500 Watt power pack to replace 300 Watt > thinking bigger was better.
Power pack burned out. Here's why:
a) Match wattage of bulbs with wattage of power pack
Lets say you have fifteen 20 watt bulbs = 300 watts, so install 300Watt power pack
b) Installing a 500W power pack on 300W of bulbs will burn out bulbs and power pack.
c) Replace bulbs as soon as they burn out or other bulbs will burn out and power pack will burn out.
d) When working on bulbs, unplug power pack or power pack may burn out.

I have model ml600twsn 600 watt intermatic timer for my outdoor lights.Recently I have been unable to set them to turn off an on automatically. I can manually. what should I do?

You have malibu-type low-voltage transformer.

There are no repair parts for this type of timer, and nobody reports being able to fix timer once it goes bad.

1) "Harry" wrote to fixya with a work-around: He bought cheap plug-in timer, set malibu timer on override, and plugged malibu into wall timer.

2) Harry also said that his timer has 5 year warranty, and he was negotiating for replacement.
Contact Intermatic:

3) Buy another timer:

4) I found tips for next power pack that might save money:

Power pack burned out. Here's why:
a) Match wattage of bulbs with wattage of power pack
-15 each X 20 watt bulbs = 300 watts, so install 300Watt power pack
b) Installing a 500W power pack on 300W of bulbs will burn out bulbs and power pack.
c) Replace bulbs as soon as they burn out or other bulbs will burn out and power pack will burn out.
d) When working on bulbs, unplug power pack or it may burn out.

I have a dish washer matsui model mf2w/a and the timer seems to be sticking causing the machine not to wash correctly, the machine carries on doing the same thing until i manually move the timer control...

If your Matsui MF2W/A timer stops earlier in its cycle, turn off the water and unplug the machine.

Pull it out and put it on its back. Remove the base panel. Remove the anti-flooding interlock. Unplug the two cables feeding the heater element and check its resistance. Should be 30 ohm or thereabouts. If not the heater's defective and you should replace it.

Pull the cables off each of the two thermostats and check resistance. It should be in the order of .5 ohm or less. If the reading is high then replace.

Remember there are two thermostats fixed to the dishwasher pan. One at the right back lower, and one at the left back lower. For the left hand one you may find it easier to access by removing the lefthand dishwasher panel.

And that's about it. Job done.

You should have gotten a config document with the new modem/router to help you . Also, I believe the password and such are on a sticker at the bottom of the device, each one may be different.

You can contact Paragon (owned by Invensys Controls) Tech support at 800 445 8299 direct. When you call you will get an automated phone system. Navigate yourself to the defrost timer (not standard timers section) to get a tech rep.

Marty Walles is the most senior rep on these timers.

After cussing at the thing for a while to get its attention,
I thought the problem over and fixed it as follows:

I went into the setup menu and selected the "reset default option. The set went to blue screen. The next step was to rescan the channels. Then in the time setup menu I turned off the automatic time update. So far have not had any more problems.
