how do you get into CMOS at start up? the laptop has a blank HDD. need to install win98 on it. Can you advise how I invoke CMOS>?
screen just comes up with Pheonix bios ver 4.04thats it. will not move forward or check the hdd nothing.

- I can get into the bios but it doesn't show CD drive and won't add it. got a formatted hard drive and no floppy drive.Is there an adaptor available to put the hard drive into another machine and copy the bootup files across? - brianthepoet

try hitting the escape key first during boot up, then it will prompt you to hit F1. that'll get a in!
