SOURCE: My dyson dc 25 has

    Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC25. If it doesn't seem to be picking up as well as usual, and debris seems to be coming back out of the cleaner head, it's possible that there's a blockage in the system.

The easiest way to check for and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:

    http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=1148&product=DC25-ALLFLOORS

Although you've already washed the filters, you might want to take a look at the video below to check you've done so correctly. Under normal use, this should be done at least once every 3 months. Use cold water without any detergents, and ensure the filters are totally dry before replacing them - this may take up to 24 hours.

Please note, the cleaner returns HEPA-filtered air back into the room through the exhaust vents in the Ball - so air blowing from the Ball is a normal feature of operation, and nothing to worry about.

By clearing any obstructions, you should be able to resolve your issue without further assistance. However, if you've tried this and are still concerned, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you recommend the best course of action.

    Kind regards,

SOURCE: My Dyson blows air out the front of the ball.

      Hi Nancy,

Thank you for your inquiry. After passing through the washable HEPA filter, air exits the DC25 Animal through the vented filter cover located on the ball of your machine. This is a normal function of your vacuum.

However, if you have additional questions or concerns about your DC25, please contact us at 1-866-693-9766 (US) or 0800 298 0298 (UK).

      Best wishes,

      Jessica

Why does filter in ball keep working loose making the ball unable to rotate

have you cleaned the ball filter like the Dyson video instructs? mine was also doing the same thing i just washed it and shook it x10 like the video says and after 24 hours I'm going to use the exhaust (Blow) setting on my dry vac to make sure air is flowing through. If that doesn't correct the problem I may have to look into ordering a new filter. I'm not ready to ditch my Dyson and I don't want to be back in the market for a new vacuum.

My dyson filter in ball keeps popping out when it gets hot. whats wrong with it

Pretty common problem with that model... Caused by unit not having enough air flow across the filter. This higher pressure is greater than the latch holding force and pops off. Blow it out with my air compressor and it should fix the problem

My dyson dc 25 has completely lost suction and instead of sucking air it is blowing air from the ball and from the cleaner head. I already washed the filters.

My Dyson DC25 keeps blowing off the filter within the ball. It then stops the ball from rotating freely. Will a replacement filter solve the problem? Sear has no clue they "THINK" it's the filter

I would try the filter first. The filter on your unit should be replaced at least once a year, more often if it gets used a lot or in a very dusty or dirty environment. If the filter is clogged air cannot pass through it just as if you laid a piece of plastic over it which can cause it to blow off.

      Dyson dc15 ball/ taking apart

The Dyson site has a help section where you can read how to take the unit apart to unblock it. Maybe your solution can be found there.

Hard to tell since you didn't say what the part is.
