There are two ways that you can solve this problem, so here they are.
You can call Safelink's Customer Service Number at either 1-800-378-1684 or 800-723-3546 and explain to them what your situation is and have them send you a replacement phone by snail-mail. If you do not want to wait for a new phone to come in the mail, then scrow down to option two. If customer service tries to give you any **** about charging you for a new phone, politely tell them that you wish to cancel your service and that you will use Assurance Wireless instead as Assurance offers 200 free minutes over Safelink's 68 free minutes. If you do not want to wait for a new Safelink phone to come in the mail and you actually have some money to spare, simply go to any retailer like Big Lots, Wal-Mar or any other retailer that sells the Tracfone Pre-Paid Wireless Phones and purchase a new Tracfone Pre-Paid Phone. Next, remove the battery cover and the battery from the old phone. You will see a little white card underneith the metal sheilding. This is callled the SIMM card. Simply slide the SIMM card out from the underneith the shield to remove it from the old phone. Now, repeat the same procedure described with the new phone and remove that SIMM card as well. Once you have removed both SIMM cards, simply take the SIMM card that came out of your old phone and insert it in your new phone. Replace the battery and cover and power up your new phone. The network will recognize your SIMM card and give you the same minutes that you had with your old phone and your same phone number.
