Question about Arris SURFboard SB5101 Cable Modem
I'm having trouble with my Motorola SURFboard SB5101. The "Receive" and "Send" LED lights constantly blink, hence no connectivity. I've unplugged and re-plugged countless times hoping to reset it, but to no avail. And I cannot locate a "reset" button on the unit. Any advice?
Or you didn't pay your subscription on time and the ISP disabled your cable modem to send user traffic over the cable network. When both Send and Receive lights are blinking that is a visual aid that the modem is working fine, but the ISP disabled its access to the network (unpaid bill, legal issues, etc.)

The modem is being forced to update the Firmware by your cable company, and the modem refuses to... Call your ISP and they can stop it form forcing the update...

I bought a used Motorola SURFboard SB5101 on Amazon and experienced the same problem with the "Receive" and "Send" LED lights constantly blinking. Called my ISP who told me they needed to "re-provision" the equipment. After providing them the HFC Mac ID on the bottom of the modem, I was online!
